There is a murmur that spreads through the room, you hear the word 'fire' pop up a dozen or more times . . . apparently they saw it as far off as here, or someone brought word already. It takes a second for anyone to react to the news, and you stand patiently, because still noone is reaching for a sword. You hear Brutus chucking nearby, but don't dare look to him for protection.

Its almost a relief when someone finally does start something. A surly looking dwarf wearing some sort of crocodile armour (thats a bad thing) stands up, swaying a little from the weight of his beer mug, "And I bet YOU s'pose yer the typ'a feller t' be some sorta FORCE, huh? Bet you's can't even beat a single drunkin ol'dwarf. How you gonna fight an army of ORKS?"

He's only about three feet tall, but his chest is almost as thick as Brutus'. The room begins hooting and hollering, and as if its common practice everyone stands up, spilling the tables to the sides of the room. The dwarf downs his drink, tossing the empty mug at you. *rolling: fail. one point of good karma used to turn it into a success* Your left arm snaps out, knocking it to the ground. There's a look of complete shock on his face. Brutus yells through cupped hands to be heard over the bets being placed. "You draw blood and you lose. Get knocked unconscious, you lose. Just try not to lose too many teeth." He's laughing at you when you look over, but he's got his thumbs up. As far as you know, that's a positive sign among the humans.

Looking back across the dirt battle arena, you see the dwarf has kicked off his shoes and hauled off his armour. Swaying slightly, he begins stomping his way towards you.

Thinking it wise now not to talk since each time he does it seems to get him into some sort of battle. First he had to rally people against the orcs, now he has to do it again and fight this dwarf to do so. So he isnt even going to reply verbally to the dwarf.

((question, do you mean if I bleed I lose, or if I make the dwarf bleed I lose??))

Scales removes his robe and lets it drop to the floor. Tightening his coils, he waits for the dwarf to get in range. Going off of the size and build of his challenger he figures this little feller is going to be grappling...well more of the bum rushing beatin in the skull side kicking type, but still a close combat fighter. So Scales dogdes the dwarves first attack, and then goes for the grapple ((making sure to wrap the dwarves arms)). If he is able to maintain his hold than Scales follows which one of his heads(hands) at the dwarves throat. Of course not sinking in his fangs...maybe slightly to make a point if making your opponent bleed is allowed. Scales could always fight dirty, but he wants this over quickly and cleanly. And hopes that the threat of being able to rip out the dwarves throat gets the dwarf to give...especially if the first person to bleed lose, cause a little nip at the neck should be able to do the trick.

So basically, Dodge, Grapple, Throat. If not possible than just keep dodging the dwarf till I can think of something else.

((and Im sure my little speech did the job, I just have to earn some creadabilty...))

The moment you drop your robes, the place goes silent enough to hear your own heartbeat.

It only takes a few seconds for your opponent's shock to wear off, then he is back to it. Slowly pacing towards you, ((missed out on that one, this character is based off a guy that was an Olympic contender, an old instructor of mine)) you're caught completely off guard when he suddenly dives across the last ten feet, reaching for your 'wrists'. You squirm like only a snake can, stretching as far as your coils will take you to get out of his path, but you feel his iron grip lock onto your left arm. You try to manouver your tail around to hook onto him, but he dances around you, using your own arm to keep his feet off the floor.

Well if wrestling you want then wrestling he'll get. Meat hooks! Yes hes got the left arm so I close the gap with my upper body to that little area inbetween the colarbone and shoulder with the right head. If possible twist my left arm, wrist where ever he has that held to get that other meat hook in.

Chances are if I can manage that than he would go to have his arms brought on the inside of mine, a slight grasp advantage. When/ if he tries that Scales to immediatly counter moving his arms back inside of his, ducking and go for a tackle. If that doesnt work than he tries to get out of whatever grip the dwarf has him in and gets some distance. Once he has the idstance than he does the ass to ankles bit...well you know what I mean, gets lower to the ground. In breaking away, a bite from the held arm might get the dwarf to think twice about Scales grip.

((I know some of actual sport wrestling, but yeah, please clearify the blood thing for me))

((the blood thing means its a wrestling match, bite him and its counted as cheating and thus a loss))

You step in past his guard, going for his collarbone. With what seems completely a backwards scheme, he steps into you as well, using his grip to pull you in closer. Slipping his left arm under your right, he's able to get a full lock on you. Grabbing his right bicep with his left hand, he squeezes hard, and you can feel him try to lift you, but apparently he's never wrestled an eight foot long snake before (or however long we decided you were, doesnt matter he's still too short). Lucky for you, your lungs are long enough that you can still breathe, but you feel your ribs grinding together in a most unpleasant manner. (-9) Twisting your arm does nothing but twist your arm, he's still got a solid grip on you.

((thank you for the clarification, that means I cant grip him with my hands...helluva disadvantage.))

Change in tactics again than. He is clutching my right side and left arm. So use my right arm, and get him in a headlock...pull him closer to me if I have to. Now like this use my tail to raise me up, kinda like the lifting with the legs, and lift him up by my hold around his neck. Even have him rest on my upper torso if I have to to get him up. After/ if I can get him up than I try to lower him into my coils, wrapping him in the same tail I used to lift him up.

(((I forget, not sure if it got brought up, do I have retractable fangs or no?? and I believe you said I was 10ft in length.))

((The fangs in your mouth are retractable, the ones in your hands aren't yet. and sure, 10ft sounds good))

*rolling*

You try to wrap around his neck, but he drops his chin to his chest before you can get a god chokehold. Still, its not particularly fun having someone headlock your jaw and pick you up by it. Unfortunately, he weighs waaay too much for you to be lifting him, and you only manage to lose your grip on his head. Fortunately, he spent more time blocking you than hurting you, so he didn't get a chance to break any ribs. Still squeezing, mind you. (-3)

Alright, gotta get him off of me. Since he has a hold on my right ribs than I slip my right arm on the inside, inbetween his arm and my midsection. And since I cant get a hold on him than I push the head into his side, between his ribs and push my arm ((elbow/bicep)) out so to try and pry his grip off of my ribs.

And if I can move in with my left and try to go for the headlock with that arm. Yeah he got his hold on it but If I can twist it around to a position to where he would be better off releasing me than thats what I gotta go for.

I'm not even gonna roll that one. You're not going to out-muscle this guy, so [A] you cannot get your arm in to loosen the grip, let alone break the grip and [B] you can't do anything with your left, especially not go for a headlock.

As you squeeze your arm in under his, all you manage to do is get your second arm stuck as well. You hear Brutus yelling at you to get him off his feet, but by then its too late. The dwarf, with you pushing at his head, screams "KORD!" and headbutts you square in the nose. You feel an explosion as every nerve in your face tells you how bad things are . . . but it only lasts a second before you black out.

You come to consciousness in a surprisingly comfortable position - coiled around a warm and cozy pillar, the sun tickling your skin. It feels like one of your eyes is swelled shut, and you hear voices from somewhere behind you. As your head lifts, it changes to muted laughter, and you hear an unfamiliar voice, "Can't believe his nose started bleeding so easily; its a he, right? How can you tell? *pause* Ahh, yes, she turns a few heads now, doesn't she?" Turning, you see a grey haired man standing in the doorway, his back to you.

((Even with your escape artist bonus, you can't do it like that. First off, his having your arm negated your dex bonus, and more importantly you have to learn what your character's limitations are. I was hoping you'd remember that you have a tail, and try to use that on him... you did once, but you put it subjective to getting him in a headlock and getting him off the ground. nothing said you needed to be standing to win this fight, and I was really hoping you'd recognize the fact that he's trying to choke a giant constrictor to death, complete irony. lucky for you he got a double crit on that last hit and split your eye open, technically you won, but he's gonna want a rematch soon.))

((OOC: yes i know that was a jerkish thing to do, but you weren't going to beat him anyways, the lesson is don't try to take someone on their own terms, make them do what YOU do best.))
