Okay here's the deal...

I can't find the notes I had for the campaign that's going on, and my brain is too scattered with java programming and torque that I can't remember where I was going with it.

I will proceed to lay out the basis for what I have planned instead.

So, basically what I have in mind is a campaign plot that I've used and abused over the years. That's right, the orks.

The general outline for the quest is this: the orkish horde is about to go on a rampage. As circumstance would have it, a new leader has come to the forefront, wielding otherworldly powers. Over many years of sacrifices and bloodbaths in the name of Ernythul, God of Slaughter, a fierce warlord by the name of Kul'shrac is raiding the countryside, gathering force as he goes.
It started somewhere in the jungles across the oceans, on an island only barely visible from the mainland. It was here Kul'shrac started, sacrificing victims to the Pagan god of the Volcano. (Which, in truth was only a Fire Giant, but he was very grateful for the attention nevertheless). Kul'shrac decided one day that their lunar ritual wasn't enough to appease the Mighty One, so he decided that his people should build boats, to sail across the sea to waylay the nearby fishing village whose sails were frequently sighted along the horizon.

This was only the beginning. Kul'shrac and his followers tore a path of carnage down the shoreline, before setting inland to usurp a gnoll marauder and his pack of vagabonds. Erythnul laughed with delight as the wicked creatures of many races began to join the dance of death.

Fast forward thirty years. Kul'shrac is ageless, kept young by bathing in the blood of the children he murders upon every conquest. Which is where you come in - the chosen Avatar of your patron deity.

I'll throw a few examples out, as to what it is I'm aiming towards. Basically, you're a level 5 paladin with a few extra powers - be it similar to bonus levels from a different class, or just added 'gifts' from your god. This isn't going to be some deeply thought provoking campaign - its about as hack and slash as they come.

Example 1: Felanthius, defender of the Elder Forests.

Said to be the spirit of a long-forgotten hero, he is oft-rumoured to be the first centaur to die of a mortal wound. He personifies the strength of the wild, and Mother Nature's undying love for the children of the forest. As the stories go, he fell in love with a beautiful dryad by the name of "Willow". He died to the axe of a forester, who was trying to chop down her tree... she cried for so many nights and so many days that a river washed from her roots to the shores of the ocean - and thus, why we always find a weeping willow on the bank of a stream or river.

Strengths:
Brute Force, Fast Running, Willow's Blessing.

Weaknesses:
Racial Discrimination, Illiterate, 'Damsel in Distress' syndrome.

Example 2: Peter the Dragonslayer

This one is fairly straightforward. Stereotypical knight in shining armour. Almost any race can be inserted into this package with little or no alteration to the basics.

Strengths:
Fights with a lance especially blessed to pierce the thick scales of a dragon (Dragonlance, anyone?), Magic Armour

Weaknesses:
Not so well versed with other enemies, first to drop the visor and charge into battle.

Example 3: Proudbeard, Hammer of Moradin

The mighty dwarf. Strong as a fortress under his many layers of Platemail, armed with a Warhammer that could topple a mountainside. What more could one ask for?

Strengths:
Only hero with a +5 weapon

Weaknesses:
Only hero without a shield, mountain goats don't ride as smooth as a horse. And, lets face it. A dwarf complaining about saddle sores isn't great for the conversation.

Example 4: Corlaan, the Black Knight

None know for certain if he was truly born a human, for he lost every sign of humanity when he sold his soul to ride forever into battle. It is often argued whether this be the greatest warrior alive - for none can be certain if he is a member of the undead.

Strengths:
Unequalled in One on One combat, immune to diseases, mind influencing spells, and effects, Famous.

Weaknesses:
Cannot cast spells, spell-like effects, or even turn/rebuke undead.

(edit: can't take this one unless you are Corlaan)

Example 5: Fearmonger, Bringer of Death

Erythnul is not above setting one follower upon another, but this is not one of them. This hobgoblin is a follower of Hextor, Lord of the Forced March, Commander of the Hopeless Assault, and God of those who lead with an Iron Fist.

Strengths:
An expert with all weapons, has an almost magical ability to be miraculously carrying them all at once.

Weaknesses:
Loses cure/inflict spells, casts Rebuke undead as if a paladin of one level lower.

Example 6: Du'Wain, the Necromancer

Choose between Human, Half-Elf, Grey Elf, or Drow. He rides a steed as black as the night, shoots arrows tipped with poison, and has untold spells to cause pain and panic. Even better, he is less than a hundred souls away from becoming a Lich.

Strengths:
Assassin's skill with poisons, fearless, Soul Collector

Weaknesses:
Does not work well with others.

I'll stop there, even though I've got a great idea for a Halfling Coyote Shaman. If you don't like one of the above packages, think of one. I know I have nothing to do with an elemental-wizard elf, the 'Robin Hood' archer-type hero, or even the Cavalier - mounted knight of the crusade.

try to find one above thats sort of like what you've got in mind, and try to keep it to human, dwarf, elf, or half-elf. 99% sure I won't accept another race, but you can try if you've got an EXTREMELY good story.

J'heil "Jerome" Falconne
Chromatic Blue elf, Knight of the planes.

Elven knight of the high realms, a minor lord of the Unseelie court (by marrige, or the fey version of it) and major landowner in the planar kingdom of Akenzia. After the murder of his mate by an unknown assassin, he has rededicated his life to the duties of a questing knight. He gains his magical powers from the elemental planes and the unseelie court, serving as a force of effective termination of threats, but with a great deal of Lattitude to pursue his own objectives. Jerome is an Elven lord to the core, with a good hearted arrogance that makes him both egalitarian and condescending all at once. His greatsword was forged by the unseelie fey from cold iron by captive trolls and imbued with a nimbus of biting cold. His armour is mytrhil and blue ice, keeping him safe from chills and flame.

Stengths: Enchanted sword and armour, casts divine spells using INT instead of WIS, Paladin spell list consists of spells from the Earth, fire, water, air (granted by the elemental princes) and cold (granted by the unseelie court) domain lists, can turn/rebuke elementals, knowledge (the planes) is a class skill.

Weaknesses: No lay hands, no healing spells at all, does not have acess to normal paladin spells, does not turn undead.
