Basics. Post questions here...
Here's the scoop. I will be posting the required levels and stuff and all I need for a character sheet is this:
Name:
Race(Any race will go, under certain conditions):
Class(One of the core classes, i.e fighter, wizard, druid, etc. no sorcerers):
Level: At least 5, but the maximum is 8. I will accept four or five more forms before I close down my entrance stuff and begin the fleshing out of all the detail. I don't want to post more than I have to, because it takes a lot of time to post gaming info.
Background:
Alignment:
Your goal for this character, i.e. "I have a fighter right now, and he has a blacksmithing poficieny (will explain later). He wants to enchant his weapon, and in doing so, he is becoming more and more in love with the magical arts, he will dual-class at tenth level and become a mage." or "I have a halfling fighter-thief, and his goal is to specialize with the shortbow, and work at his dodging skills (with training, you can improve your ac as a thief, but it takes time).
FYI There is no, take a level of this and a level of that in V2. There is your pick of standard or multiclass, and as a human, you can dual-class. That makes for a pretty nice deal at higher level. Lets say you go fighter for 11 levels and then wizard for 9... you can write your own spells, craft a weapon, and imbue your weapon by doing that, but by then you are almost of a level to be retired. XP's are based on roleplay as well as fighting. If you roleplay well, and never even fight, you could gain levels just for that.
Also, AC works like this... no armor at all is 10, leather is 7, chain is 5, plate is 3, full plate is 2, magical full plate is up to -10. Armor class goes down. The lower the number is... the better it is.
But before any of this can work out... we need a plan for a good party. So far I have a Redeemed Demon, a Tiefling, and that's it. The demon gets none of his demonic abilities. The tiefling only gets ability score adjustment and a claw attack, and a bite attack if they ever want to deal 1d4 damage for no apparent reason.

Name: Ven
Race: Tiefling
Class:Wizard/thief
Level: (without xp tables, i really can't calculate this, i'd like my wizard level as high as posible)
Background: Tiefling adventurer, trained classically for a time as both wizard and spy, now wanders about looking for places his chaos can be spread, or that has magical wonders he can learn.
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Your goal for this character: Ven's main goal is magic and chaos. He is trained in sneakyness, and uses it to avoid getting in trouble. He fights with a dagger, but that only seldomly when he absolutely has to. He focuses on Evocations for spells, with the occasionaly conjuration, illusion and abjuration. he almost never uses charms or necromancy. He collects spells, wands, scrolls, potions, and any other sort of useful magical knick-knack. He also collects knowlegde, and learns as much as he can about everything (though of course magic is at the top of that list).

Good, Ven, you can be counted as a member of this party. I will post thief and wizard tables soon, I have to go dig up my old books. Yay... homework.
By the way, so far it looks like you are going to end up 8th level total, but xp's are also not like 3.5, so I'll get back to you on that, too. Wizard levels are expensive. I'll let you be level 3 thief, level 5 wizard until I get the books.

Okay, if you'll permit me a little bit of fun, I'd like an egyptian half-elf cleric/ranger. Jet black hair, amber eyes, skin of bronze and the aura of a mortal destined for otherworldly enlightenment.
note:
Seker is a lesser god, God of Light. Although he is worshipped by any who worship light, he is neutral good, actively opposes evil, and protects the souls of the neutral good after death.
Hated enemy: Skeletal Undead
Weapon of Choice: Heavy Mace / Light Mace (Two-Weapon Fighting)
Alternate Weapon: Hunter's Bow

Okay... Had to download a character creation bot to do this, since I don't have the books. Its got a lot of things I don't understand, and can only create level 1 heros.
stats:
STR 16
DEX 8
CON 15
INT 13
WIS 15
CHA 12
saves:
P/P/D 16
R/S/W 18
P/P 17
BW 20
Spell 19
Like I said - I don't know about leveling up, proficiencies, or anything like that. Don't have the books, don't know where to get them.

Ok, I'll give you a character generation website.
Go to http://mollyworld.com/ADD/charactergenerator.shtml And there you will find what you need. It calculates your character as well as it can, for tiefling and demonic stuff, choose human as your race. We can always change it later, after you post it. Use method IV for character creation, and try to keep stats between 10 and 15, one or two at 18 means the rest should be 14 or lower. Sorry, it's just the way it has to be to be challenging. Make your character level 8, and if you run into problems... PM me.

so with some mucking about, i think i have ven mostly figured out. A level 8 wizard has 90,000 xp, and lvl 8 thief has 70,000, so i split the difference, 80,000, that means i advance theif and wiz both 40,000 xp, putting my thief/mage at 7/6.

I downloaded a netbook of proficiencies (weapon and otherwise). Not knowing how many I get, I'll put them in order of priority.
Reading/Writing - (1 slot, priest/wizard, Int +1)
The character can read and write a modern language he can speak, provided there is someone available to teach the character. This proficiency does not enable the character to learn ancient languages.
Close Quarter Fighting - (2 slots, warrior, Dex)
PC’s with this proficiency have learned to fight in the cramped confines of small rooms, caves and dungeons in underground lairs etc. In such locations, characters armed with bludgeoning or piercing weapons receive a +2 bonus on their ‘to hit’ roles. Slashing weapons cannot be used in close quarter fighting. This bonus is not cumulative with wild fighting. A successful proficiency check at the start of combat yields this bonus. A failed roll indicates the PC fights normally. This proficiency is very useful for unarmed combat.
Danger Sense - (2 slots, general, Wis -2)
This proficiency provides a character with a sixth sense, which warns of all types of impending danger. On a successful proficiency check, the character would get a message such as, “You get very bad vibes about walking down that corridor”. Wherein the corridor there may be a pit trap a couple of feet ahead of the PC, or a group of invisible monsters waiting to ambush the character. On another check the warning may be “As you reach down toward the glowing sword, your hand stops involuntarily, as you are overwhelmed with the tingling sensation of foreboding doom”.
Distance Sense - (1 slot, Wis, general)
This NWP allows a character to estimate the total distance he’s traveled in any given day, part of a day, or a number of consecutive days equal to his level. For instance, a 7th level character can estimate the distance he’s traveled in the previous week. The estimate will be 90% accurate. {from PHBR11, complete ranger's handbook}
Observation - (1 slot, general, Int)
This proficiency represents a characters trained power of observation. The character must state what the character is trying to observe, secret door, being followed, detecting poison gas, trying to find pits or snares, etc. Which is also modified by perception, then if this roll fails, he then gets a normal perception roll to detect what he is looking for like everybody else. It also allows the character to detect things out of the ordinary, like if he is about to be ambushed, as long as there is a chance for him to detect this (i.e., he could not detect a thief who has successfully hidden in shadows etc). Characters with this proficiency also have their chances of finding secret doors increased by 1.
Alertness - (1 slot, general, Wis +1)
This proficiency allows a character to instinctively notice and recognize signs of a disturbance in the immediate vicinity. This reduces a characters chance of being surprised by 1, if he makes a successful proficiency check.
I've also heard reference to blind-fight a few times, but it wasn't actually on the list...?
For Weapons, it had a few different things, and I'm betting half of it was custom rules. The one that interests me has to do with attacks per round... by specializing in maces, and two slots in two weapon fighting, it said a level 7 warrior gets four attacks per round (two per hand)
also, it said Clerics can't use bows. Is that because they don't have the skill, or is it forbidden like druids?
