The cat ran into the room as Amora stumbled towards the sound of fighting. It kept leaping into her path, blocking her. In her weakened state Amora's strength was rapidly being drained as she tried to get around the cat.
~She's weak. Yet she keeps trying to get around me.~

Mars took a step forward and took a swipe with his sword, sending a shockwave down the tunnel incapassitating the others. "Go to her, let her know of the situation."

Fenix nodded, "Right." He turned and headed back down the tunnel, blood dripping from his fangs and claws.

Amora leaned heavily against the wall and glared at the cat.
"Move....."
Her eyes darkened as power began to swirl around her.

Suddenly Fenix appeared on the otherside of the mosterous cat, "Amora." His voice was stable, "The creatures are comming for your power, you must stay with me. They cannot get your ability, and I will pledge my life to that." He struck one paw downwards and sent a small spatter of blood onto the cave floor, "We are fighting to keep your power safe. Please, do not disobey me." In his eyes was not a look of demand, more a look of determination. He was mixed up inside, he had to protect her.. however the battle was comming..

Her eyes....it was like looking at a night sky. Black with flecks of silver. Power was radiating off her in waves, uncontrolled and wild. Too much power for a a mere mortal.....it was too wild to. What the hell was she? When she saw him, she launched herself at him.

Fenix spread his wings and blocked the cave. If she was to go anywhere it would be right into him. He could hear the screams of the nighthawk at his back. Mars was still fighting them in a vicious war. When the enemy outnumbers you so greatly... bringing them into narrow pathways puts you on even grounds. And the incarnation of war was proof of that, having already slain countless of the creatures. Few slipping past, heading down the tunnel towards Fenix and Amora.

She didn't try to get around him. Instead she wrapped her arms around his neck and held on tightly. Seeing that he was safe she breathed a sigh of relief. She had known he was in danger, but for a moment she had thought he had perhaps left her and returned to his own dimension.

The cat moved swiftly around them and began to attack with teeth and claws.

Fenix looked down at Amora with mixed emotions. He let loose a sudden surge of power. The wave of energy rushing down the cave bringing the nighthawks to the ground for Mars and the feline to easily dispatch. "We need to get out of this cave." He held Amora tight for a moment and reluctantly broke the embrace. Turning towards the sounds of battle, "And there's only one way out."' The nighthawk continued to funnel into the cave, one after another, all driving to get to Amoras power.. and a new energy.

She shook her head.
"There is another way. Can you buy me a few minutes?"
She rested her head against his back, taking deep calming breaths. Her power was radiating out of control. She needed to reign back in her emotions and gain control. She had to leash her magic or it could bring the whole place down around them.

The cat looked back at him.
~She needs to contain her magic. It's about to explode.~

Fenix nodded. "Do what you must. I'm going to sweep the road." He stepped forward away from her and held his hands out to either side, "Mars, Get back!" He closed his fists and the walls cracked, dumping debris and rubble down on the killer birds. Before the dust could settle the ground stopped rumbling. The rocks stopped falling, slowly they all lifted back into place and braced the walls once more, leaving numerous nighthawk crushed by the blow. But there were more comming down the tunnel. All at once three nighthawk gave a great flap of their wings, sending a torrent of deadly wind streaming down the cave. Fenix brought his paws together with a clap and a bolt of rock jutted straight up infront of the group. There was a crack as the wind collided with the stone but the barrier held. "They just keep growing in power.."
