So what's your role play background?

This is the... Fourth role play site I've ever used. I started on Neopets and that was the predominant host, but the mods there are Natzis and in general you ended up with roleplayers who were god-moders, or monopolized an entire role play with their own plots or just didn't know how to spell. That and the character limit (500, I think) for the posts was a killer.

My time there was mostly spent doing X-men roleplays (I play Toad. Love him. LOVE HIM.) as well as highschool, wolf and medieval. I did the slave role plays for a while but they were notorious for going nowhere.

I tried two role play sites, but both died. The attendance just stunk, I guess.

I tried my first vampire role play on neopets and got hooked. It wasn't my style at all but I played for probably four hours with the participants. Two of which I'm still in touch with now, two years later. We run a forum site together with the same characters as when we started. It's only the three of us most of the time. The whole site represents one big city, and all the different boards are locations in it.

It's fun. Really fun. Really infectious.

I tried here because three or four of my friends have used this site and they were hooked. I really love how many people are online. There's so much more variety, though the style's a bit of an adjustment.

I'm VERY new at this. Apollo invited me here to work on "Desert Life" in Gramma Modor's Storytime Theater, but I had a secret longing to try RPG's as well. I didn't try until a few days ago when Evangeline posted "Cold, Cold Water" because I'd previously feared that the interaction with SEVERAL posters would overwhelm me.

Now I'm posting in "Cold, Cold Water" and "The Enforcers", along with two GMST stories. It's hard getting a feel to the multiplayer aspect of RPG's, but it's fun!
