...If you haven't heard of this band before, I highly recommend them. They're totally clean but they have a gorgeous, crunchy, hardcore sound. Their vocalist is insanely talented. He touches on so many different styles. His work in 'Fading Away' just kills me. Also in 'Thorns'.

Tried to post links to their videos so you could hear the songs, but the site just turns them into videos here and it takes up WAY too much space.

I'm putting this board up mainly for my friend, Kale, but it applies to everyone.

If you're not into really packed vocals and screams/growls, I'd suggest one of these ;

Fading Away
1000 Apologies
Carry Me Down
My Heartstrings Come Undone
Thorns

There are some nice acoustic covers they've done;
Fading Away
Carry Me Down

My Heartstrings Come Undone

If you can handle some louder stuff, I'd go for these:

Infected
Science of Lies
Storm the Gates of Hell
Beheaded
Through the Black

**Nods enthusiastically** Yes. 'Storm the Gates of Hell' was a fantastic album, and fading away is usually my favorite song on there. The lyrics a pretty sweet, too, if you ever read them.

"It's in this wake that I find myself
losing the will to resume this hell
when every breath is a dieing wish
it's harder to follow the point of this

this broken place that I call my own
has deepened the sorrow that I have sewn
and I can't erase what is in my heart
I want it to finish before it starts

(my favorite part, vocally,) : My own solution insufficient again
no false illusion, this devouring threat
I break the vessel, giving air to its red
and open my fate to the darkened sky

I've been fading away
I've been waiting on the call to reach my veins
Ready or not
No attention to waste
every sorrow of the soul will read my name
when I cease to exist.

I dunno how to explain it; they're just tight will the melody. You can almost read them by themselves as poetry.
ready

Great lyrics, I agree.

As I write this, I'm listening to the piano version of "Carry Me Down". Oh my wow, it's awesome! But then, I'm just a sucker for piano.
