"I think that story is better left till later when I get home. I have to keep some composure while I'm at this be damned place and all. Give that medicine a few more minutes to work and then we will take you home. I promise when i get back at 3 I'll explain what i know." Pyr-a looked Jazz in the eyes with a seriousness that none of her friends had seen in about a year now. It was a look that was missed. It was the look of Pyr-a. The old Pyr-a not the alcoholic one that they knew as of late.

"Y-yeah, okay." That looked scared Jazz, she wasn't used to it. She sat down on the cot and took a deep breath, but it hurt. She stopped herself from yawning and took frequent shallow breaths instead, which didn't help her dizziness. "I might need someone to steady me so I don't fall out somewhere on the way home..."

Pyr-a gave a slight nod of her head and cast her gaze down towards the floor and whispered. "I won't ever let any of you down again. I give my life on that."

"Yeah, okay, calm down. You're starting to scare me." Her voice was faint, breathing was really hard. She kept her free hand on her shoulder. If this keeps up I might pass out.

Pyr-a took note of the situation and nodded again. "At least I'm going back to my old self in some manners then." She walked back over to Jazz and placed her hands lightly on her temples. She'd feel her mind relax slightly, her throat open a little more, and the dizziness decrease. At least Circe had taught Pyr-a few valuable things in situations like these aside from just dealing with the pain.

"Thanks," Jazz let her mind wander, and it happened to settle on the impending 'first date'. "Oh gods...I can't now, but I...sh*t. Ooh, sorry." Jazz opened her eyes and looked at Pyr-a, "Remember the book, the missing one? I've made a deal, which happens to be a date, and I'm gonna get the book back for you, Pyr-a. Isn't that gre-" Jazz started to cough, the medicine hand't reached deep enough to stop the infection getting to her lungs yet.

It felt like the world was going in slow motion, but it happened so quick. The edges of her sight was going black and sparks dashed across her vision. Her hearing faded away as her sight did and she fell backward. The darkness enveloped her and she was drowning in the air, she couldn't breathe it.

Every curse word known to man flew out of Pyr-a's mouth in that instant as she reacehd out and grabbed Jazz as lightly as she could in case she angered the wound in some way. She took a slow deep breath and got a quick grip on her head and began muttering a prayer again. As she did the world around them slipped into a series of grays and blacks. It seemed like an eternity to one who was unconscious or not use to it but Pyr-a knew it was less than a millisecond before she was stumbling out of the shadow into Circe's medicine room. "Circe!! Circe quickly!!! I know you can hear me!!!!"

Pyr-a's voice rang through everywhere she thought Circe could be, which was literally anywhere in that house, as if the shadow's carried it. NO matter where she was, attached to the house she would hear her calling and pleading.

"Jeez, turn around will you?" Circe was picking up a broken plant pot she had dropped the moment she felt Pyr-a enter the shadows near the house.
"What happened?" She rushed over to Jazz and brushed the hair away from her face, it was deathly pale. She ran over to her cupboard and pulled out a box and grabbed a tube-like apparatus that had semi-valves half-way through it. She put it in Jazz's mouth and whispered a quick spell. Air forced itself into her lungs and drew out the carbon dioxide. "Quick, or I won't know what to do!"

Pyr-a had not flown through a shadow that fast with another being in years. At least not sober enough to remember it. She knew she had with Jazz when the wound had happened but she didn't remember that much at all. "She forgot her medicine, I finally ran into her and helped her put it on but it spread so far and she began to feel dizzy so i did that thing that you taught me to do and then she had a panic attack over a date. Wait...She's going on a date to get my Latin book back." Pyr-a looked to Circe for the first time in her rambling. The keenest look of sobriety crossed her face as she stumbled backwards trying to get a grip on everything. So much had happened lately it was over whelming but seeing Jazz like this and knowing that it was her fault for having her this hurt in the first place was hard to swallow.

Circe bit her lip and ran over to her cabinet. "Where is it..." She started mumbling to herself. "If only Mikee was here, he could stop the time around the wound." Circe closed her eyes in pain, but didn't stop. It had been a few months since Mikee had dumped her and left. She grabbed the herbs for the compound that she usually administered and grabbed an extra. "This combination is complete experimental, I really hope it works, but I am not completely sure. Go get Al, she an Anchor to this world for Jazz, it'll keep her fighting no matter what this curse does to her. Hurry Pyr-a, or I'll make you sober up so fast you'll be sick for a month!"
