Lonely or chooses to be alone?

Syndil did an innocent little smile. "Hey i said i'm sorry...geez. you know i can help you heal it a bit quicker but you're too stubborn to accept the help." the harpy glared at her. <Obviously...i wouldn't be a harpy if i didn't." she shrugged off the help that Daren offered and stood up by herself and changed back to human form to let her wings rest. she looked worse in human form than in harpy form. Syndil rolled her eyes at Desari. "So where are you headed?" <anywhere i can find someone evil enough or powerful enough to bring back to impress Hades. come on you know my job now.> "Yeah yeah....no luck so far huh?....heh well have fun on your little quest." <oh i plan on it after i heal from you and your stupid damn friends! you need to be glad i remember what happened before otherwise i wouldn't care about facing you.> syndil smiled and laughed. "Never annoy a shifter when she's having a bad day to begin with."

Daren had followed the banter with his eyes and just barely kept the confusion off his face and out of his startling eyes. He didn't know what had passed between them, but they were slightly hostile in their stances, or at least that's what he made out. Maybe they have an unstable truce between them...for now at least.

Desari scoffed at Syndil who just fake laughed rolling her eyes and let Desari move along. she noticed the look on Daren's face and smiled as she walked over to him. "Let's get back up to where my bag is so i can deal with what's left of our injuries. don't worry about her....she won't bother us again now that she recognizes us." she took his hand as she walked back in the direction of the tree and her bag.

Daren winced when she took his hand, they were still burned. His skin was rough, but he let her hold his hand and kept in pace with her enough that she wasn't pulling on him. "Alright."

Syndil remembered his hands and loosened her grip on his hand. "I'm sorry...i somewhat forgot." she slowed her pace and took out her hand and hooked arms with him. "There that's better." she smiled looking at him with a bit of a blush coming over her face.

Daren squeezed her arm with his. "Thanks for remembering. I gad forgotten too." He smiled at her blush, "What's with this?" He brushed her cheek with the back of his hand.

Syndil paused inhaling sharply at the feel of his hand against her cheek.she felt the warmth in her face and remembered talking to some humans about this. "I-i....think i'm blushing. the feeling bringing this about.....i umm...noticed only really happens around you." she thought for a bit. "You know...what you started doing back there....it surprised me but....i think i really liked it." she blushed an even deeper red. she smiled but looked away or tried as she felt her face get warmer.

Daren was blushing slightly himself, but in a more masculine way. "I don't quite know what came over me, but I enjoyed it. It was a different feeling...I felt hot?" He wasn't sure if that was the correct word to use or not. "I'm not sure what I felt, I just knew..." He trailed off, his face becoming redder, "That I wanted to do more."

Syndil smiled when she looked over at Daren when he said that. "Really?...you wanted to do more?" she was curious. "I really wanted to keep going too. i think our instincts were taking over or something." she walked close to him as they got up to her bag. "You're the only one i seem to have cared so much about.....i mean i....i can't stop smiling around you."

"You know..." he cupped her face with his damaged hands and kissed her slowly, "It's sort of difficult doing this--whatever it's called--when you're smiling." He brushed a piece of light brown hair out of her face and pulled her closer. He didn't care about his hands at the time being, he just wanted her to be with him, he didn't want to stop touching her.
