Lonely or chooses to be alone?

Syndil raised an eyebrow to Daren. "You don't what a harpy is? it's a vicious creature part vulture and part human. they have lots of strength and by the looks of this one we got one hell of a battle on our hands." she changed into a tiger roaring at the harpy who was too close for comfort now.

Daren's human form melted into a black jaguar, it's muscles liquid and waiting to strike. He growled low in his throat and never took his eyes off of the harpy.

The harpy swooped in reaching her talons at Syndil and she leaped into the air dodging the talons and reaching for the legs of the creature. as she latched on the creature shrieked in rage and kicked furiously managing to loosen syndil's grip and throw her a good distance across the ground. she soon regained balance and stood up having rolled a ways so she shook herself off. <Two shapeshifters can do nothing to me! and you're foolish to think so but if you wish to continue this fight then so be it i'll take you both to hell!> the hideous creature flew with preternatural speed at Daren talons aimed at his back.

Daren leaped up moments before and dug his claws into the harpy's stomach and breasts. He went for her throat with his teeth, but the harpy had thrown him off. He landed roughly, and coughed. His stomach wounds had probably opened again. He growled the best swear that the jaguar's mind could form and went over to Syndil.

Syndil roared at the harpy and when Daren came over she just quickly did a look over of him to make sure the wounds hadn't reopened to the point of needing immediate work. she saw that he wasn't in too bad of shape and so she yet again leaped at the now injured harpy who shrieked from the damage he inflicted. <YOU WILL DIE FOR THAT!> Syndil latched onto the one of the harpy's wings and dug her claws into the body to hold on better.

Daren shifted just enough to reply, "AFTER YOU!" He leaped at her other wing and shifted his weight enough to try to pin the harpy to the ground. He was ready to tears its wing off.

The harpy fell to the ground having a difficult time even with her strength to keep her up with them on her wings. Syndil tore at one part of the wing digging deeply into the body of the harpy. <NO! DON'T!> the harpy's voice was a mix between anger and pleading. syndil caught the hitch in its voice and stopped still holding onto the wing. she spoke through her mind to the harpy. "You sound pleading....why?" the harpy paused looking at the wolf. <I wasn't heading for you but....don't you recognize me Syndil?>

Daren flinched and relaxed his grip on the harpy, but only a bit, when he heard it talking to Syndil. There was a chance that the harpy was on their side, and there was a chance that they were old enemies. He didn't want to risk anything.

Syndil caught the voice barely recognizing it and let go of the wing and looked the harpy in the face. "Wait....Desari?...." the harpy nodded. <Yes it's me. did you forget what i looked like in this form?...could you get your guy friend off of me please?> Syndil changed into her human form. "Sorry...Daren it's okay. let go of her. she's umm a friend of mine from a while back. well at the time we weren't but well i proved myself against her in the fight and we became friends." she looked at Desari. "Luckily you can take alot of damage huh?....your wings might take a while though." <Yeah ya think?>

Daren pulled back and returned to his human form. "I apologize." He pushed his black hair out if his eyes and offered a hand to help the harpy up onto her feet.
