Cold, Cold Water

[Jade]

The others would know that Jade was some sort of creature. She was similar to a werewolf but she was a cat. If they knew anything about the creatures in New Haven they'd know she was a were-cat. Based on what the new vampire was saying she wasn't just any were-cat though. She was the Queen. Killing her would cripple the were-cats and take centuries for them to recover.

Jade smirked and waited until Kyra was close. Then she punched the vampire in the jaw.
"That kitty kitty shit so doesn't work. You know that."

[Kale Allerion]

The sound of a car pulling over in the shoulder made MariAnne turn her head. A little blue car, probably a disguised police cruiser, rolled to a stop and a tall, uniformed man stepped out. He muttered a few words into a walkie-talkie as he approached the feud in the alley.

MariAnne analyzed the man's features - the dark brown hair, soaked with rain; the athletic build...this was Benedetto, her ex-boyfriend from high school.

Ben - Officer Bridges, now - didn't seem to notice her as he brushed by her and David. He strode right up to Kyra and Jade, holding a shining silvery gun in either hand. It worked out, because MariAnne pretended not to have seen him and hoped he wouldn't notice her presence.

"All right," his husky voice echoed. "Break it up." Unafraid, the officer stepped in between the vampire and were-cat, holding the guns at arms' length. "I don't want any trouble, but you two are disturbing the peace. There are humans around, after all."

Officer Bridges knew these two. Well, he had heard of them at least. Who of his race hadn't? If they knew of him, surely they'd cooperate.

That is, if they were as smart as he'd heard.

"If you girls cut the drama and save your little cat-fight - no pun intended - for later," he began. "I'll let you go free. If not, I'll take you in. And don't expect me to help you come up with an explanation that doesn't include the phrases, 'She tried to suck my blood' or 'And then she turned into a lioness'."

[Kyra]

The blow landed on Kyra's chin and knocked her back a step. She hissed at the cop.
"Foolish mutt."
Kyra became mist before he could react.

Marcus' eyes looked around quickly trying to spot where Kyra had gone. He knew she wouldn't go far. She was in need of more blood and this had the quickest supply. His eyes turned back to the humans and he started cursing.
"JADE!"

[Jade]

"Yeah I know. But the stupid mangy wolf has silver trained on me."
Jade growled at Ben. She hated werewolves. They hadn't done anything to her. It was just the natural order of things. Dogs and cars did not get alone. He was a wolf, she was a lion. They were natural enemies. She wasn't about to risk her species for the sake of two human hunters. She'd smelled the blood on the hands of the man. He was coated in it and there was nothing she hated more than humans killing off immortals. She couldn't tell about the girl, but she knew Kyra would go for the man not the girl. The girl was smaller, there wouldn't be the blood she needed. So she didn't feel too bad about just standing there.

[DungeonMaster]

Matt gritted his teeth, pulling his own gun around in a flash, loaded with his silver nitrate rounds. They'd been hard to get, and he'd hate to have to use even one outside his mission, but he knew if he absolutely had to defend himself, this would save him. He trained the gun on the officer, "Now let's all of us not do anything hasty. The last thing we all need is a massive trip to the hospital and 7 different stories of how we got there." He glanced around slowly, "If you'll all excuse me, I have other business to attend to... a woman needs rescuing, and I'll take the time to get ahead of you." He grinned at Jade meaningfully, "If we ever see each other again peacefully, I'd love to visit your beautiful home and riddle you with stories of the chase." He, too turned to mist.and was gone. He'd taken advantage of Kyra's distraction to get away and go to find the strange woman from Elizabeth's vision.

[Evangeline Carter]

"Truck's that way," David pushed MariAnne roughly, loosing no tenderness on the girl. She'd nearly gotten herself killed for the sake of a werecreature. There were too few humans in the ratio between their race and that of the supernatural breeds as it was. "I'd suggest we make this quick." No more distractions. The truck had been coated with a vampire deterent, but he wasn't looking to see if the barriers held against the creatures when they were starved for blood.

"Let's get somewhere in the human district."

[Kale Allerion]

After only a moment's hesitation, MariAnne stepped toward David's waiting truck, leaving Ben to fend for himself.

He'll be all right, though.

She'd known Ben was a werewolf for years now, try as he did to hide the fact.

Ready to go home, MariAnne waited outside the door to the passenger seat for David to unlock the truck. She'd had enough of vampires, slayers, and ex-boyfriends.

At least, for one night.

She knew in her heart she'd be back one night to avenge her sister. Not now, though.

Officer Bridges' brow furrowed at the two vampires sudden disappearance. He wasn't concerned about Matt - he seemed to be checking out for the night.

But Kyra...

She looked like she could cause some trouble.

"Where did she go?" the officer demanded of Jade, peering through the shadowy alley for any sight of the vampiress.

[Cain]

In his indecision on where to head off to Samuel had started circling around turning about random roads. It was then that he turned onto the block the new fight had broken out on. He almost didn't reconise the truck but he did end up spotting Marcus, Jade, and Ben as he passed the ally they were in now.
((Or street if that's what they're on. I lost track now.))

"Seems I keep finding trouble tonight."

He pulled off the road just past the next corner ans stopped his car. It was then he finally spotted and reconised the truck.

"Oh you have got to be kidding me! De they just look for trouble? Well atleast they look like they are leaving, thats good."

[Kyra]

Kyra reformed behind David. There was no sound no hint she was there. There was just an uneasy feeling. It was similar to when a prey was being hunted and realized they were prey.

[Jade]

Jade crossed her arms.
"Went to kill those humans, probably. Of course if someone had not interrupted me she'd be out of it right now."
