Just another day in the life of...
Al sighed as he watched the dark clouds rolling toward the city. Looked like it was going to rain again, he hated the rain these days, he steamed when he was wet. It made it hard to hide what he was, or at least his power.
He checked his watch again, the bus was late. Their schedule was never reliable these days, just once he'd like to be able to get out of work and not have to wait half an hour for the bus to arrive. It was then the slapping noice came to his ears came to his ears, the man off to his side had decided it would be a great time to have a smoke. Al thought otherwise, he also never understood why they did that with the packs. As the man brought up and flicked his lighter the flame suddenly burst out and the lighter man curse before droping the lighter and sticking his burnt thumb in his mouth.
A: "Wow..that was..wow...you ok?"
The man just gave him an annoyed look.
A: "You know your, uhh, I think your eye brow got a little singed..."
On the inside Alphonce was smiling now. He'd never liked smokers.

Godric smiled inwardly upon seeing the incident with the smoker. He'd taken it up once to see why humans enjoyed it so much, but he quit the same day after it felt like a fire had been lit in his chest. He also despised the smell. Godric pulled out a small plastic baggie from his jeans pocket and removed a small herb from the bag. He brought it to his nose, inhaled deeply, and leaned a while against the wall as he waited for the high to hit him. Godric then strode over to Al and the smoker and said in a smooth voice, "You know how unhealthy that is, friend? You should try this herb here." He held up the catnip. "Much better for the lungs, and a great sleep aid." He didn't bother to tell the man that catnip only acted as a sedative in humans, since he didn't feel the guy needed to know Godric was anything but human.

The man seemed mildly preoccupied with feeling the area of his missing eyebrow, and a few muttered swears. He did seem to have to have time to give the newcomer a glare as well before storming off toward the near by drugstore, muttering something about hippies.
Al quietly watched him go before giving a soft, "Hmph."
When the man was gone Al clanced over at the newcomer.
"You know generaly I don't trust any plant that sets someone in a different state of mind. They probably all have one draw back or another."

Godric shrugged as he watched the man leave and placed the sprig of catnip back in its baggie and back in his pocket. "I'd have to agree with you there. The euphoria is the only good thing about catnip, unless you like to uncontrollably salivate all over yourself." Godric sniffed. He had found it odd that the man's cigarette had sparked like it did, and he had a hunch the kid had something to do with it, but he dismissed this thought. Whether Al was gifted or not made no difference to him, as long as the kid didn't try any of those tricks on him.
Godric looked up at the sky, saw the storm clouds above, and winced. "Was waiting on a friend of mine to show up here, but apparently he gets a kick out of making me stand around like an idiot looking for nothing. I told Jimmy not to trust the wolves, stupid kid."

Al raised an eyebrow looking to the man now.
"You sound a lot like someone else I know. She doesn't like them much either. I don't really see why, but that's just the way she is. I have a feeling you share other things in common too. Most people tend not to be affected by catnip."
He checked his watch and sighed.
"Bus is late again. What were you planning to do when he got here?"

Godric felt the urge to ask Al about this friend, but he decided against it. Just going to weird him out, being asked by some stranger to introduce him to his friend, He thought. "I kind of grew into disliking them, I guess. Might have been the way I was raised." Before they abandoned him, Godric's parents used to preach about how evil the werewolves were and that he should stay away from them at all costs.
"Well, we were going to set off for a nearby bar and just kind of have a guy's night out. It's a tradition we've been keeping up with for the last three years." In reality Jimmy had tracked down Godric's father and was supposed to have set up a meeting here. Apparently, tonight was not the night for answers. "So what's you're story, friend? I keep seeing you look at your watch as if you were in a bit of a hurry to get somewhere."
