Camping Out.

[Cain]

Al sighed as he looked up at the moon. He'd had another nightmare and burned up his bed again. The sprinkler and drain system he'd set up had helped him take care of it and kept it from spreading, but he'd decided he'd give up on matrises for a while. They were too much money for him to keep burning through.
Now he was out in the parkland outside the city limits. Luckily the weather was good tonight and it was the weekend so he wouldn't have anywhere he'd have to be tomarrow. In his backpack he'd brought a pillow and a blanket but he'd probably not need the latter, knowing him. Still he had chosen to spend the night out here, under the open sky and in the light of the full moon. After resting a bit longer and looking around to asure himself he was in a place people were unlikely to stumble upon him by accident he set to work burning a circular swath in the grasses of the small clearing he'd found. It would serve the purpose of a firebreak later if he accidently started another fire later and thus keep him from burning down the forest.

[AJ]

AJ wasn't far from Al's current location. Though she didn't know he was there. She tossed a fireball at the wood she had stacked into a campfire and smiled as it lit with an eerie blue fire. Then raising her hands she tossed back her head and laughed. The wind rushed through the trees and danced around her, pulling at her white robe. The air suddenly smelled of rain and a big fat drop landed on her nose. Shaking her head she began to spin and twirl around the still burning fire. Lightening streaked the sky, thunder rumbled, and ran fell. The wind howled through the trees the sound somehow non-threatening. Under the full moon, AJ paid homage to the elements in a dance as old as time. She'd never known how she knew what to do, it was more instinctive than taught. Yet every full moon she chanced discovery for this one moment in time. She was the Earth's daughter with the wind's intelligent yet cunning mind, the water's depth of emotions, and the ever changing spirit of fire. Her laughter filled the air as she danced and felt freedom.

[Cain]

Al finaly finished his fire break when he heard the thunder, then the rain started. He paused for a moment looking up.
"...."
There was one thing about Al when he got wet, he starts to steam, and not in the metaphirical sence. A light sizzle could be heard from him as the water heated up and evaporated. He couldn't really expain it and he never found it comfortable. It was really more of an ichy sensation. Still...
"...Ah c'mon! I know it was clear a few moments ago! It's not even suposed to rain till tuesday!"
...it never put him in the best of moods.

[AJ]

She continued to dance around the blue fire. Slowly beings appeared around her. Within the blue flames there appeared to be almost fairy like beings, that were known as salamanders. As she danced they mimiced her movements. Within the pools of water being created human shapes appeared, the water reflecting another world. The human like beings were all female and they smiled as they watched AJ dance. For it was AJ's magic that was allowing the undines to use the pools of water as windows. Within the wind teasing at her hair, slyphs laughed and played. The tiny race were breathtakingly beautiful and known for their kindness. They skated along AJ's skin and pulled her hair teasingly as the wind wrapped around her. Then there were the gnomes that peeked out from behind trees and bushes. Ever so often one would reach out and brush their hand along the bottom part of her robe. It was rare to see the elementals one at a time, all of them being in the same place at once was unheard of. After a few minutes AJ collapsed on the ground laughing. Smiling she sat up and waited. It wasn't a long wait this had become a routine for all of them. She danced and honored the elements then she conversed with beings much older than her. Soon an elemental from each element seperated from their groups and surrounded her. There was Paralda, the Lord of Air, whom often bestowed on her his wisdom and never disturbed the secrets of her mind. There is Djinn, the Lord of Fire, whom has more than once given her some of his boundless energy. Then there was Ghobe, Lord of the Earth, who had more than once protected and sheltered her within his kingdom. Finally there is Nixsa, Lord of Water, whom long ago had blessed her with peaceful dreams and guarded her from nightmares. All of these elemental Lords had seen to her safety in some shape or form. When she honored the elements, she honored them as well. Her smile widened as she looked at each one, they were truly unique creatures.
"Good evening to each of you."

[Cain]

Grumbling to himself he made sure his blanktet and pillow were in a tight bundle before he set off to head back home when he heard it.
"Wha-?"
He tilted his head.
"Was that a laugh?"
He didn't hear it again but now he was curious. Pausing a minute he started removing his cloaths and folding them into a neat yet small bundle. Out of habit he shifted to his wereform when he reached his pants. Cloathing folded he sat there a moment but didn't hear it again.
::Is there someone out there or not?::
Shifting down to his fox form he picked up his clothing in his mouth before heading into the brush.
::If only I could get some cloathing that would change with me...::

[AJ]

Each lord nodded his head in greeting to the druid.
"Let us begin."
She turned her eyes first to Ghobe. He is a solemn, shadowy being with wary eyes of sharpened crystal the color of almonds. They often have a look of bewilderment. His pointed features show the deepened scars of the rigors of life that comes from uninvited guests that share his Earthly Kingdom. He wears delicate clothes of platted fern that he says is sewn with glistening dewdrop webs made by elfin hands. Usually the elves and fairies and other creatures of his world do not attend these meetings. It is often only the gnomes that accompany the Earth Lord. She has learned through the years that he is more shy and less forthcoming than the other elemental lords. Yet his power is indomitable and his strength without compare. He prefers remaining hidden in places where human will not and do not go. When she looks at him she feels a sort of personal resonsibility for all that has been done to destroy the treasures of his world. Yet she knows he is gentle and and protective of her. When he does speak his voice sounds as brittle as a twig and he is often abrupt. He keeps her grounded.
"How are we this evening Ghobe?"
G:"Fine."
She held out her hands to him and waited quietly. Soon the little man like figure came towards her and he placed his hands on hers. She laughed softly.
"You did that much faster tonight."
G:"Hmph."

[Cain]

Al paused midstep. He was closer now and he knew he'd heard it. A woman's laughter. But it was definatly softer. Had he not been in his fox form he probably wouldn't have heard it. There was something else too. Voices? Was she talking to someone? Whoever she was.
Cautiously now he started forward again. Trying to figure out where the sound had comefrom, the problem was the trying to hear over the rain.

[AJ]

She smiled and closed her eyes. Clasping his hands gently she took a deep breath and started the first part of the safeguards. Around her neck was an circular amulet inlaid with gems. In the center was an amethyst surrounded by four gems of varying colors. The gem to the north was an emerald and as she started to reinforce the safeguards and pull from Ghobe's magic it glowed green. It was only a matter of seconds but to the two figures time was obsolete. Then her odd light blue eyes opened. She leaned fore ward and pressed her forehead to his.
"Thank you, my lord."
Ghobe touched the amulet around her neck. It had been one of his finer works of art.
G:"Your welcome little one."
That done he stepped back, leaning back against a tree. Next she turned to the enigmatic water lord. His hair is long and flowing like the water of his world. It is silver and gray with seaweed intertwined in the locks. His eyes are luminous droplets that reflect the echo of tears. They shimmer and return her gaze shrouded in mystery. They are entrancing and hypnotic as he can slowly draw from deep within an unknown tenderness that sleeps imprinted on the dreams of those whose gaze he holds. His clothes shimmer and take on the color of the water surrounding him, but he wears a cloak that is the color of kelp, edged with the white foam from the breakers of the sea. Out of all of the lords Nixsa is the most changing. He can be one moment gentle and malable, or dancing and light, but then he can as wild and untamed as a storm. In his voice she hears the murmer of distance rushing rivers, flowing freely.
"Hello Nixsa."
N:"Little Druid.....it has been too long."
She held her hands out to him. When he took them she always felt the chill that accompanies deep water, but his hands are dry. Unlike Ghobe he chooses to stand tall and strong. When she stands he towers over her, but now he crouches grasping her hands. For some reason when she stares into his eyes of tears she feels the need to shed tears of her own. Instead she closes her eyes and renews the second set of safeguards. The western stone, a pearl, glows an eerie blue.

[Cain]

Closer and closer the small fox scurried, partly out of instinct of his inner fox, and partly out of caustion he moved from cover to cover in small dashes. He would look like any other fox that had been up to some mischief with the cloths in his mouth, exept normal foxes wouldn't steam like he was.
He knew he could hear someone now but it was hard to pinpoint with this d*** rain! It distorted and dulled the sound!

[AJ]

She opened her eyes.
"Thanks Nixsa."
N:"Anytime."
He stepped back and Djinn stepped forward without being asked. She laughed at that. Djinn was different that the others he appeared to be nothing more than explosion of energy bursting with light with tendrils of white heat and sparks of fire. He was a twisting vibrating mass of a living flame. His diamond eyes glowed like the darkness of embers of coal and his cloak encompassed the yellows and reds of lava. Out of all of the lords he is the most uncontained and terrifying. However as fierce as he is he can be as gentle and comforting as a warm winter fire. She had warned him long ago against using his stare against her. He'd done it once holding her captive and immobile as his eyes burned into the very desire of her heart. It had been very disconcerting. As he speaks one hears the crackle of the bonfire in his voice. She held out her hands and flames danced in her palm. It was a ticklish sensation.
"Djinn....."
D:"I can not help it."
She shook her head and closed her eyes. His power reinforced the third safeguard and caused the western ruby to glow a vibrant blood red. When they were done he reached out and touched her cheek.
D:"As beautiful and pure as a flame."
She laughed at the compliment. Lastly she turned to the elusive air lord. He has gossamer wings and billowing hair streaked with sunlight but shaded with the grey whiteness of the clouds he is surrounded in. His eyes are silver always darting and alert. The tenuous shape of his body hides his strength for though he can be as gentle as the breeze against your skin his power is as wild and unpredicatble as a tornado. With just one glance he can capture the secrets of your innermost thoughts and when he speeks his voice is as wispy and teasing as the wind he can command. Long ago he had gifted her with an impentrable shield for her thoughts. She held out her hands.
"Paralda...."
