"... I guess that makes four." The orange haired man dug a list out of his pocket, kept folded by a pen clip. He sighed as he crossed off item four of the list printed on it. 'Burn down Leon Manner'. Glancing back at the fire he'd started, Nick shook his head. "What am I doing?" Lost in thought, he stared at the tall flames, oblivious of sirens in the distance and unthinking of the crowd and curiosity the tall flames would draw.

It was at this point a bullet whizzed right by his head. To be more accurate it was a 12 gage shotgun slug, one that promptly ripped up a chunk of the brick from wall right beside him, showering him in shrapnel.

A man was climbing out of the fire. ''You think You can get away with this!?'' he screamed out.

"-The hell?!!" Nick groaned. It could never be as simple as a robbery, or burning down the place. No, there was always some kind of fight. Though, he didn't have a gun, or anything really, so he did what he usually did and booked it. "Later, loser!"

Another slug few and this time clipped him hard in the leg. Even a month ago, that shot would have crippled him for life, if not killed him from blood loss.

The man was breathing hard as he ran at him the 'cluck-clak' of the newer make shotgun as it popped in a new shell. ''F***er...'' he grunted. ''Your going to tell me who sent you, then your gonna scream, then your gonna die.''

"Aw shit." The red haired vampire dug in his pocket and quickly drew out a small vial with a plastic cap. He flicked the cap off, revealing its small needle, and injected the strange substance with a firm squeeze of the vial, not unlike emergency morphine needles. Nick continued to scoot away the fastest he could, chanting "Kick in, kick in, kick in, kick in!" under his breath.

The man aimed for a shoulder and shot. Eyes hard. ''Talk F***er. Talk like your life freaking depended on it.''

Nick's eyes flashed violet from within his hood. He pushed against the ground hard, rolling away and into a stand as the veins around his eyes stood out and he let loose a violent roar as adrenaline and other feel-good chemicals flooded his body, exposing his fully lengthened fangs in all their glory. He rushed forward with immense speed, his wounded leg only very slightly wobbly as he pushed ahead with a huge Haymaker to the man's face, grabbing at the opponents closest wrist at the same time. He had shot Nick, and done something to get put on the list which had only further complicated his life. Nick was going to make him pay.

The gun fired... then clattered down as the man rolled with the hit, Vastly underestimating the force as he was swung violently to the side. He let out a choked grunt through newly bruised ribs as his wrist snapped like a twig.

Nick flashed his fangs, as he yanked the man back up hard by his destroyed wrist, sinking his teeth deep into his neck and drinking deeply and quickly. He took a breath after a long moment, letting the man drop as he twisted to leave, a wet ripping sound echoing in the night as the man's arm fell beside him.

Nick looked around quickly before running for the nearest place to hide.

His best bet seemed to be a near by alleyway. It split roughly half way down it. Odds were they couldn't close off all four exits before he got clear.
