Dark Times for Darkdale
Years ago, in the kingdom known as Darkdale, there was a king named Polonus. He had two daughters and four sons from three marriages. The eldest of them all, Caulder, felt that he must eliminate the competition. That he did, save for the youngest male, Semmi. Polonus saw this as a sign of weakness and had his oldest son punished. Several years afterward, Caulder and Semmi overthrew their deranged father in a bloody coup. Caulder, however, got sold out by his brother and was forever scarred with an upside down star, a symbol of treachory and highest dishonor. Now, he's wandering with a pair of misfits, just like him. Still, memories and ideas of what would have happened if he had never been banished plagues him every day.
BR: He slammed his fists down on the bar. Splinters flew every which way. "You call this an ale? I've drank sea water that tasted better than this!" He threw the ale in the barkeep's face. "Now, I want to get filthy-stinking drunk. I want to wake up next morning with a horrible headache." The barkeep took out a baton while five large men surrounded him. "Oh, you mean to give me a real headache I see. Well, come on!" He jumped up and two men were on their backs, three were on tables, the barkeep was in a bloody heap, and Blood Rain was fleeing the scene. Radamant was already following.
Rd: "You just don't know when to quit, do ya?"
BR: "Just shut up and run!" Ra'shk was waiting for them on the edge of the port. When his friends ran past him, he just followed after them without asking any questions.

*while Blood Rain was running, with radamant following, neither was obviously paying attention to where they were going, because they ran right into a net trap and got snagged in it.Eventually, as the two are hanging there, Maya eventually saunters over to them, looking pleased but angry at the same time.*

Ra'shk had seen the trap ahead of time and ran around, hoping the other two would follow. He stopped and walked towards them at the same time Maya approached. Radamant was a bit disoriented and Blood Rain was furious.
Rd: "What in the world just happened?"
BR: "I've no time for this!" He started knawing on the cords holding the net together like a caged animal. Radamant just looked at Maya.
Rk: "I can only assume that you are the one responsible for trapping my friends." He looked towards the port town and saw a party of five aromred police on horseback. Blood Rain began to panic and chewed harder and harder.
The police arrived at the scene and readied their swords. One of them turned towards Maya. "I thank you for capturing these crooks. You have made our job much easier. Now, if you'll just hand them over to us, you'll be justly rewarded for your deed." Blood Rain kept looking from the police to Maya with furious eyes. Radamant just sighed and waited for the consequences. Ra'shk looked to her with eyes that pleaded mercy and begged to help his friends. The lead officer rode up to her. "Come now, Miss. You wouldn't want to be an enemy of the king by helping them escape, would you?" He eyed Maya suspiciously, awaiting her choice.

Off to the side, sitting the the shade of a tree planted for asthetics was a figure wraped in a grey cloak that was faded in some spots but had blotchy dark stains as well. He was too big to be a kid, but definatly not large enough to be thought an adult, and he was watching with a tilted head.
The figure turned its head just in time to see a blond man step out from a sidestreet and walk to the officers.
M: "Umm..e-excuse me sir, but..what did these men do?"

The lead officer jumped, not expecting anyone else to be around. He pointed at the pair in the net. "That wolf creature is wanted for murder, robbery, destroying a public bar, disturbing the peace, and many other crimes. The fish thing is an accomplice and is also wanted for robbery and disturbing the peace." He looked at Ra'shk who was standing with his hands behind his back. He tried to come up with an excuse to bag him, but couldn't think of anything so he said nothing about him besides "And the tiger is an accomplice. They must all be arrested."
BR: "Hey! I get why we're bein' arrested, but leave Ra'shk outa this. He ain't done nuthin' but stand by and watch us work."
Rd: "The boy's improper grammar usage is right. Ra'shk has done nothing wrong."
Rk: Ra'shk looked proudly and thankfully at his companions.
The officer turned and shouted at Radamant and Blood Rain. "You two shut up! You're all three criminals! You are coming with us and getting put where you all belong; the gallows!"
Blood Rain growled at the officer and took out his sword, waiting for the net to give so he could put these guys in their graves. Radamant withdrew his cutlass and stared intently at the officers, for he wasn't going to let them take Ra'shk without a fight. Ra'shk just got into a combat stance with his sword at the ready. The officer shouted again at the three. "Put your weapons away or we'll kill you right here! No one will ever know what happened here and we'll be called heroes for taking you out!"

The man looked at all of them.
M:"Huh...y'know sir..might be mightt hard arrestin' tha' third guy. What with him bein an illusion an' all..."
To prove his point the man bent down, picked up a rock that was conveniently at his feet an threw it at Ra'shk. Interestingly even if Ra'shk tried hitting or catching this stone it would seem to go straight through him, and roll down a drain on the other side.
M:"...bet it was left as one of them watch-amah-call-its...distractions. Real one's probably a bit down the way..."
At that point Ra'shk would apear to start fadeing away though only he would see the faint shadow of himself. He and he alone would hear the whispered voice that would sound as though it was right by his ear.
V: "Try not to move please, this is a difficult enough trick to pull off with something still. Hopefuly, though I doubt this will work, you friends will be less resistant to arrest and we can avoid bloodshed, I doubt those gaurds could win. After you can break them out of jail or whatever, but I don't see reason to send an as of yet innocent seeming man to jail, much less the gallows..."

Rk: He thought a reply to the mysterious man. I shall not even blink. He stood as if he were a statue, unmoving, unblinking, and no visible signs of breathing.
BR: "Whatcha talkin' about? He's standin'-" Radamant clamped his mouth shut with his claw. He whispered in his ear. "Silence, you idiot. It's a trick. Just play along." When he let go, Blood Rain just blinked his understanding. "He's right ya know. In fact, he could be standing behind ya poised to kill right now!"
All the officers turned and searched for the attack that never came. The leader slowly turned his horse and looked at Blood Rain, who was laughing uncontrollably. "We'll be sure to kill you slowly, mutt."

*snapping out of her decision making, she lloks at the officers*
Hold on a minute, good sirs....Do I have a choice, as in 'I can do this the easy way or the hard way'?If i do, I choose the easy way.
*As soon as she utters the last syllable, the cops explode into itty bitty little pieces.Maya dusts her hands off*
Well, that was fun. I'm assuming you dont care to just hang around, do you?

Blood Rain seemed more frustrated now. "I have no time for any of this. I need to meet my brother now, and here I am caught in a rogue's net. Can this day get any worse?" Radamant sheathed his weapon and waited for something to happen. Ra'shk, seeing no reason to stand still anymore, put his weapon away and stepped towards his friends. "You never said anything about a brother before."
BR: "His name was Semmi. He's about five years younger than me. He's the king of my old homeland, Darkdale. I have to meet him because he wants to talk to me about something very important concerning my home." He looked at Maya. "So, to answer your question, yes I do care that I stay here. I have to leave."

At first it looked like the air was warping and bluring giving away Ra'shk's position as he moved ((its similar to the predator's cloaking device in the same named movies)) then person siting by the tree made a jerk with his hand and not only did Ra'shk become fully visable, but the blond man disapeared entirly seeming to waver and fade away.
The figure who wearing the cloak then jumped to his feet.
F: "Just couldn't hold back could you? Didn't think this could at all be done without violence, is that it?"
In a blur of a movement he reached into his sleave and withdrew it, throwing a knife at once of the suport ropes holding up one courner of the net. He then twisted his wrist, apperently catching a clear courd as the knife stoped and was pulled back to be caught in the throwing hand. The suport rope was not cut through all the way, but enough that it was now quickly freying under the weight.
F: "As corrupt and foolish as they were, don't you think that maybe there was a better way to deal with that sittuation?"
He pointed to the two in the net.
"You two should hold onto the net, its about to give."
Given the voice this was the same man who had whispered to Ra'shk.
