I've figured it out. The world in Those Long of Tooth is called Eledrion, there's magic-based technology about up to the level of modern day, but the best tech is saved for the richest cities. (which are few and far between, because commerce is similar to medieval times.)

Heads up. My character's a cab driver who died in the place after the tragedy but he's forgotten how and thinks he's just part of the recurring events.
