Jade whirled to face Maliki as he closed the portal. She growled as she crouched into a fighting stance.
"What the hell do you mean they gain the power of anything they consume?"
She felt like attack something, mainly the man standing in front of her. He showed up and all hell broke loose.
"Aren't you just a bearer full of sunshine."
Her voice held the sarcasm that she was known for.

Maliki retained his cool, "If one of them eats a dragon, they all breathe fire." He figured that was an easy enough explanation for her, he glanced around the area, there we no visible nighthawk at the moment. But Maliki could sense other portals were open in the area.

"Really Jade Kat. No need to get testy."
The voice held an odd combination of sin and innocence. When Maliki looked behind Jade he saw a twin version of the woman he knew as Vixen aka Allyria. She looked almost exactly the same, which meant she must be this dimensions version of Allyria's host. There were differences however. Where Allyria's eyes glowed blue at all times, this woman's eyes were unique. One of her eyes was a golden brown, the other a vivid blue. In her eyes he saw deeds that ate at her soul, and a darkness in her that was almost terrifying. Like Allyria she keeps her blonde hair short, brushing her shoulder. She was about the same height as Jade and her skin was a tan color from being out in the sun a lot. She has a slim muscular build of a gymnast. She was wearing black leather that had a futuristic look to it with black high heeled boots. When Maliki looked at her he would be surprised to notice that he couldn't tell what type of creature she was. She wasn't human he could tell that, but other than that her aura and mind seemed clouded by shadows. Alexi looked at the boy and dismissed him. She didn't play well with children. Besides it would be Jade that would attack. This Alexi had no doubt. There was too much history there, too much pain. For a moment Alexi felt regret, but she pushed it aside. She had done what needed to be done. She wouldn't regret saving Jade's life, though Jade thought that Alexi had been trying to kill her.
"Long time no see kitty."

Jade went eerily still. She knew that voice. She had hoped Alexi was dead. Jade had hunted for Alexi for months after she had recovered. Even know when she was alone at night she could hear the taunting laughter, feel the pain, and she could see the look of glee on Alexi's face as she had plunged the silver knife into Jade's body. Alexi had betrayed Jade and if there was one thing Jade could never forgive it was a betrayal. She moved so fast Maliki wouldn't be able to react. She whirled around, snarling.
"Traitor."
She launched herself at Alexi, claws extended. Jade had every intention of ripping the demon halfling apart.

One would think Maliki couldn't react, but years of battle had tought him to think one move ahead. He was instantly between Jade and Allyria, his paws raised so that his clawed hands met Jade's like a brick wall, forcefully bringing her lunge to a halt, "Now is not the time for childish action or personal feuds. We have bigger matters to worry about.

As he spoke a portal opened not far from them. A figure in a black cloak stepped through, an eagles wings out the back of the cloak. He pulled his hood back, a red and black striped tigers head peered at the group, "Brother, Faith sends some reinforcements."

Jade leapt back away from Maliki and towards Bisin. She growled.
"Move.....now....."
Her eyes were more catlike than usual. Her tail swished back and forth in agitation.
"You aren't going to stop me from ripping that......"
She snarled, showing her lengthened incisors.
"Satan's spawn apart. I'm going to cut out her heart and rip her head off her body. It'll be faster if you get out of my way."
She seemed unaware of Bisin's presence. As her whole concentration seemed focused on Alexi. The two lions that had been with her were growling at the woman as well. They stood a little off to the side though. Jade made a motion with her hand and the lions crouched on the ground, but didn't move.

Alexi rolled her eyes at Jade but made no move to get around the boy.
"You were always so blood thirsty. I see ten years hasn't changed that."
She tilted her head to the side and smiled.
"And for the last time would you get it right. Satan's spawn indicates that Satan is my father. He's not."

"I think it can also mean your a member of his family, but I'm pritty sure thats only if used with the family name. Still depending on which books and stories you read there can be a number of different demons she could be the desendant of. I think I once read something about Cain's body being torn apart to form a hoard of demons, though I understand the Bible (he pronounced it Bib-ill) has him instead become a wanderer."
Several light blue lights appeared in the woods and revealed themselves to be small blue flames that flinted and jumped about while hovering in the air. The lights made a sort of wide dispersed cloud and the voice came from the figure at the center of it, who was walking toward them with hands in pockets. Al tilted his head and sighed looking at Jade.
"You're making friends as always I see."

Maliki remained between Jade and Alexi, he opened his mouth to speak and as he did he heard the scream of the nighthawk above them. Bisin looked up as well, there was a small group of the birds, and they sensed Jades power. They were calling on others, "Damnit. They found us." Maliki looked back towards Jade, "You can have your blood fued later. Right now we need to keep those creatures from killing ANYTHING that has power."

She looked at Al and smiled sweetly.
“Gramps does claim me when it suits him. I claim him when it suits me, especially when he owes me a forfeit. I’ve been saving my current one for something big.”
Alexi turned her head and looked at Bisin standing behind Jade.
“Better restrain the kitty cat there. She lays one hand on me and my lips are sealed, and trust me you and your buddy are going to want to know what I know. It involves those creatures...."
She pointed up at the Nighthawks in the sky.
"And lots and lots of portals. As well as the direction they were heading in and sweeties the majority were heading deep deep into the forest.”
Alexi smiled sweetly the picture of innocence, but there was something about her that also spoke of sin. The combination was intriguing. She looked at Jade smirking.
"Think I can get what's left over after they kill that druid of yours?"
She was purposely antagonizing Jade and she knew it.
