Men and Woman of America. My words are not my own as I type here today. My eyes were opened when, at age 12, I read the words of Thomas Payne in the pamphlet Common Sense. I thought, "Hey, yeah... he's right..." and then I looked at our government. It has its ups and downs, just like any other system... but the problem lies here... there are the same downs in this system as the one we fled from in England and called out in the streets, "Tyranny!" The time has come to help the senators and representatives open their eyes to the way we see the country, and the things we as individuals believe in, which I believe I can say universally... is freedom. Am I wrong there?
We all long to be free, and more than any other country on the Earth, we are... we vote without fear of consequences, save of course the possibility of voting in somebody who messes everything up. Right now, we have a President who believes in change. He believes in helping the people. Well, if we want to see a change, we'll have to reach out to him and let him know what we want him to do. So... here is my idea that is not my own. It was stated on this URL, and it is a fairly valid point, though I do not agree with all of the things he says... this man is NOT the real Thomas Payne, but he still makes a valid point, and I'd love to see it discussed by anyone who cares about the state of our country.
Anyone who has posted in here with me before knows I am opinionated and I love to hear what other people have to say and take it into consideration... after all, isn't that what democracy is all about? Feel free to tell me how you feel about it after you watch the video. I personally... am sending the tea bags. How about you?
