Original Fantasy Before the final chapter, there is a beginning, a start, an adjustment period. For fantasy, this is it.

I am considering opening up this forum to general Final Fantasyish role playing, let me know if this interests you. i still hope to get games re-going in my other forums, but until then i'd like to try and get more life into this one. Let me know with suggestions and such.

Sounds interesting. what style of final fantasyish though? The style seemed slightly differnt on some things depending on the game. Aside from the fact that the world always needs saveing and Cid is there to help.

I would like to be Reirui the tarutaru black mage / red mage, master of makeing things go boom with dark magic! ^_^ ((OOC: he's my FFXI character ))

AHAHAHAHAHAHA!

ohh man, i was totally thinking of doin a final fantasy 1 (the original and greatest) game. RED MAGE ALL THE WAY!

on a related note... i was thinkin of turnin my game into the Dungeon Crawler's Domain. Just as it sounds - take your hero, and i create a somewhat-random dungeon for you to go crawling through in search of the treasure room. I've got three basically planned out so far: the minotaurs castle, crossing the ork plains, and here be ogres. yah, i'll post somethin in the bog right now.

I'll take a Centaur's Longspear, Dwarven Waraxe, Orkish Morningstar, half a dozen Halfling throwing knives, Sylvan Scimitar and Drow Buckler, Masterwork Studded Leather Armour blessed by a druid (no dexterity penalty hehehe), a shortbow and quiver of arrows, 100ft of elven rope, disguise kit, lockpick's tools, vial of holy water, Unholy symbol of Necrosarius the Bringer of Un-Life, a lantern, 3 torches, a beeswax candle and Signet ring, two days trail rations, a scroll of Identify, healing potion and bottle of poison (distinctly labelled), Satyr panpipes to cast my Bard spells at a +2 to defenders Spell Resistance check, magical reagents pouch, spellbook of level 1 spells and level 0 Cantrips, a carpenter's saw and a Stonemason's chisel, Smiths hammer... some clean cloths cut to bandage-sized lengths, a needle and thread, magnifying glass, and a treasure map that I haven't found the geography to match.

And a pack-mule named "Spinqi" ((its one of my nick-names, pronounced Sss+pink+eee... nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition)) to carry all this stuff. Oh, and a waterskin and some fake army uniform tunics. Royal blue with a gold eagle crest. Maybe shoulder pads too to make us look tougher.

Not sure what races are allowed in Final Fantasy, but I'll need a level of Monk for the +Wis to A.C. and the unarmed fighting, a level of fighter for the bonus feat - Quick Draw, one level of Bard for the spellsinger action, a level of rogue for the backstab, and a level of barbarian for the rage and fast movement... hahah kiddin. you cant be a monk AND a barbarian, lawful and chaotic cant go together.

The version would be mostly early final fantasies, plus tactics, those are the ones i know the best. i'm a fan of the FF jobs, and i have to go with morty in saying that RED MAGE IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! always, all the time.

I have always been the black mage / summoner type. Though in tactics I liked to combined the summoner and redmage to be able to doublecast summons.

In FFXI I use the redmage as my subjob to gain the fast casting abilitiesand because I think it's INT is higher then the white mage.

Another great combo would be a redmage bluemage. Combinding the two sword weiliding mage classes.

Tactics didn't have a redmage when i played it (for PS 1) what were you playing!!

anyway, should we go for D&D converted to FF, or try and capture the FF system more or less...........

FF Tactics advance, yeah there are alot of differences between the two.
The redmage actualy was pritty pathetic in it, with relatively low stats, exept that it could get an ability called DoubleCast, that let you cast two of any of your spells in one turn. So you could do stuff like haste then Fire, or use two summons.

I'm go for either so *rolls a dice* lets go for trying to capture the FF system.

the only FF i have acces to at the moment is the first one, so alot of it will be based on the stats i see there, although i'll probably make up some of my own rules.....

of course i'm always open to suggestions.
