Character creation
This is just the preliminary stuff so you can start thinking about what you want to do
you will start at character level 5. character level is independent of class/job. your class/jobs will progress at a different rate then your level. to start with at level 1 you have 40 attribute points to spread amonst 5 attributes, minimu is 1 maximum is 20.
str: determines damage and to hit
Agi: determins evasion and to hit
Vit:determines HP progression
int: determines magic to hit (m.hit) and MP progression
luck: determines m.hit and magic evasion (m.evasion)
every level you get 3 points to distribute, you can only raise one attribute by +1 each level, thus each level you must choose which three you will increase. you need to tell me:
1) your level 1 stats
2)which ones you increased at each of the 4 level advancements (matters for HP and MP, which order its done in)
Character level is increased by gaining XP which you get for killing things.
then there is your jobs. You can purchase a new level in a job by paying the JP cost. its simple, each level costs 100*lvl in jp to advance, you get JP by doing certain things (attacking, using magic, drinking potions etc) that are specific to your job (i've defined them for each job, but i won't have it posted for a little bit) you will start with 1500 jp, that is enough to take one job up to level 5, or one job up to lvl 4 (1000jp) with another at lvl 2 (300jp) and a couple of level 1's(100jp each), or any other combination. when you gain a new level in a job you automatically gain something (spell levels for mages, combat bonuses for fighters, etc) as well as a skill from each jobs skill list (each jop has 8, and there are 8 levels in each job, as well as 8 levels of spells) Some jobs requires that you have other levels in other jobs, i'll post those rules later.
thats all for now, i'll get you more later....
Dmg: str/2+weapon
to hit:str+agi+weapon
evade:20+agi
m.Evade:10+luck
m.hit:int+luck+spell lvl*5
HP:20+vit*lvl
