Recruiting fo a fourth edition D&D preview adventure

As you may or may not know, D&D will be releasing its fourth edition in june. Recently at some conference or another a load of 4e material (including 6 pregenerated 1st level characters, basic mechanics and monsters) were made available to the public. Crazy rabid fans took it upon themseves to make little adventures from the breadcrumbs given to them and thus was formed the little 4e preview module i'd like to run. The adventure is for 4-6 PC's and i'd like to have at least 3 real players (doubling up on PC's as needed). Its a short little thing, but that means it will still take several months to complete online like this.

So it doesn't matter if you know D&D or not, this is a new eddition, so everyone is learning, its a great time to start playing if you've been interested in the past.

What i need from you it to go here:

1) read the quick rules primer
2) look at the pregen character sheets and choose one or two you'd like to try playing. cosmetic changes (name, gender, etc) are free to be changed, but since i only know so much i'd rather not mess with mechnics or such.

feel free to ask me any questions you have, i've been keeping pretty good tabs on 4e, so i can answer most of the simple questions.

well if no one else shows up soon, you can choose 2-3 chars and we can do a little bit of a test flight.

I'm thinking, after reading that all, that I'd probably like to try and be a warlock...But, even playing DnD in the past i still kinda suck. Wouldn't know where to begin and I'd have to have my actions be explained clearly a couple times before it clicks(because I'm dense like that sorry)

No worries, the good news is that things have been really simplified. It boils down to when you're in an encounter ( a battle or dealing with a trap or even just a tense negotiation) on your turn you get a standard action (doing something, like attacking) a move action (moving) a minor action (some quick and easy thing). Most of your powers are standard actions; at wills can be used at will; encounters once per battle OR every five minutes (if out of battle), and daily powers are useable once per day. Learning to read the sheet certainly may take some time, but i like answering questions.

If no one else joins (say in a week), i'm going to have you'all choose a second character, and we'll run with that. But i would prefer more, so feel free to tell your friends

well i got that part from reading the instructions basically...it's mainly the reading the sheet and knwoing how to use things because in the game itself it's a compeltely different context I'm afraid. *sigh* so no worries you'll have plenty to explain and okey dokey...a second character just more for you to explain..

Pick a secound character folks, and i'll start the game this weekend.

So all i need is:
1. which character you're taking
2. any changes to name, gender, class (name only) and race (name only) you'd care to make
3. any background you feel you'd like to share, it doesn't need to be too in depth.

post that here and i'll start the thread.

If anyone else wants to join, we'll add them in as the action progresses...
