Tyde leaned over, resting her hands on her knees. "So...hot..." She swallowed and jogged over to the spigot and sat down under it and turned it on. "C-cold, so nice. Ooh, temperature shock." She shivered and turned the water off after tipping her head back and swallowing some of it. She stood slowly and shook her hair. She checked her watch. "Oh, lunch time. I need to change back into dry clothes." She headed back to the girls locker room to dry off and change back into her school clothes. She stuffed her wet clothes into a plastic bag and put it in her backpack.

Jack sighed and said aloud "Crap! I forgot my watch again. O well". Jack laid down and look ed the sun. He remembered his mother saying you could tell time by looking at the sun."It's worth a shot" He sat up and stared at the bright yellow sphere in the sky. Jack slammed his fist in the dirt and laid down again. "Maybe I should how to do that when I get back home." It was to late to learn now when he was half blind so he decided to sleep a little but only a little, he had to be up in 5 minutes for the next class. five. . . Jack yawned. . . minutes. . .

Tyde plopped down in the cafeteria and grabbed the pizza off of her tray. She took a gigantic bite and chewed away happily. "Food, glorious food!"
Riva sat next to her, "Were you practicing again?" She shook her head, "You're going to strain something if you work at it too much."
"Too late." Tyde pulled up the sleeve on her left arm, an ace bandage restricted its movements. "It kind of got thrown out..."

Jack woke up and knew it had been more than five minutes. He sprang up scrambling to get his stuff together and running as fast as he could. He could barely think straight because his head hurt from getting up to fast.
He knew if he was late for class Tyde would have a fit and she would be so po'ed

. There! The school was in site and he was up the steps and in the cafeteria and by Tyde with 10 minutes left of lunch. Jack let his head drop and hit the table. . . hard, and of course with his luck it hit the bruise from earlier that day. ". . . ow" was all he managed to say. He caught his breath and caught the question before it was out. "Your most likely going to ask me where I was. . .I went to the beach and drew some more and fell asleep so I ran back here. . .any food left?" Jack looked up at Tyde and slid the finished sketch of there first meeting toward her and waited for anwers.

She shoved her tray at him, "I got some for you while I was up there, it's cold now."
She looked at the sketch, and kept it away from the prying eyes of her friends. It was beautiful, she didn't know that she looked like this. When she was younger everyone had picked on her, she just formed a habit of saying away from mirrors.

Cold Pizza was never Jack's favorite but he didn't care. In less than 2 minutes it was gone he he was chugging the milk down. Some people at the table were looking at him chugging his drink and others were trying to sneak a peek at his drawing he had done of Tyde. Jack let the carton down looked over to see what Tyde thought of it when he was interrupted.

"Hiya!" Riva scooted closer to Jack, interrupting his view of Tyde's reaction by tugging on his sleeve. "If you're still hungry we could go to the Rollerbowl. It's an old fifties diner with a roller rink attached to it. The burgers there are really yummy."
Tyde closed her book and returned it to be bag. She took care of the empty tray and waved, "Be right back."

"I don't know I may be busy moving my stuff into my new house" Jack answered. He blushed again. He wasn't used to people asking him out. He never thought of himself as good looking. He was modest yes but never quite understood what was so great about himself. Jack had an idea.
"Would you mind if I did a sketch of you?" He smiled

"Sure!" Riva smiled. "When you you like to start? I've got classes until the end of the day, but if you go with me, there will be plenty of time."
Tyde returned after her blush was completely faded from her cheeks. This Jack guy was terribly sweet. It wasn't a bad thing, but it sure as hell was confusing.

Jack was afraid that Riva would take this the wrong way but it would be to much fun to see her face if it was done right. Jack took out a sharpie and a piece of paper and said "that's ok I can finish it now it will be really quick."
Jack took in her basic features and drew them as quickly as possible. Then he made her body small and on a tennis court. Her eyes were flaming and she was holding a tennis racket like she was the ruler. So of course he put a crown on top of her hair with lots of guys bowing at her feet and giving her presents. He smiled and hoped he was right.
"Like my charactiture of Riva, Tyde?" He asked.
