"Okay then, we find this Holy Man. Where pray tell are we to search for this man. I do believe someone mentioned he must be pure of heart, that's not a common trait these days..." Jal began to feel irritated, as he seemed to few answers and seemed rather worthless in this situation.

~This does prove to be a difficult situation for you.~ Charon felt the ring's presence loosen it's grip on his mind again. "Finding a man without sin is a rare find, indeed. I would suggest looking in either a large cathedral of some sort, or a utopian society. The latter will be just as difficult to find, and the former has not always been so helpful in my experience." ~Even if we find my master, we must keep him alive. His destruction will bring about my own death, as I am a creation of his.~

"A utopian society? I have a feeling we wouldn't be welcome in such a place. Even if we were to find one..." Jal's nervousness elevated. He began to leaf through his book again, unconsciously hoping to find an answer.

The man in the mask twitched, and the goblin mask twisted into a crazy smile. "Ahhh... I know just the place. There is a temple not too far from here to a god of travels. He is known for being peaceful, and it is said his priests only travel the world to spread his message. I think we may find this sinless man there." The figure began to wander off down the road.

~As far as the destruction of the lich goes, that is not my plan, but rather... my plan is that we lead the adventurers there, and then we both get to your master. he slaughters them all, and we come out on the upside. Both of us go to his possession, and hopefully he is smart enough to put us both on, letting us function as his extra eyes and ears while he studies.~

Not wanting to be left behind, Jal jerkily dashed after the masked man. "Alright then, easy enough. We go to this temple and part Mr. Dormaker from that creepy mask. Is there some ritual involved, or does this sinless bloke just tear the thing off?"

Charon grinned. "Wonderful." He followed his companions as he eyed his blade. A beautifully made sword, he was lucky the smith he got to make it had been a friend of his. Not anymore, though, for Charon had slaughtered the man when he discovered the smith was going to reveal him to the police. ~That would be an excellent idea. The master would be even more powerful with the two of us on his person than he is now. The master will be happy to see us, and just as thrilled to meet this necromantic character.~ Charon could feel the ring's presence drawn to something besides him, but he couldn't place it. The dark magic of the ring made it seem like its presence was everywhere and nowhere at the same time.

Jal glanced between Charon and the masked man. Between the ring and the mask there was too much unheard conversation for comfort. "Maybe I need a possessed accessory to converse with. It would certainly help me understand the position you two are in..."

Charon looked at Jal. "Trust me, with the pain Dormaker goes through to remove the mask, and my weakening grasp of reality and my own sanity, you'd better count yourself lucky." Charon did envy both John and Jal. From what he saw, John had some control of the mask, and Jal was free of any possessed items. Unlike them, Charon had this cursed ring on his sword hand, and it was never silent, neer giving him a single moment to himself. Not untill now, which greatly concerned the naga. First the bar, now again out here? What is going on with this ring? Charon started thinking this had something to do with Dormaker and the mask.

OOC Sorry for the wait, I had been switched to dialup and could never post without the site going down, so here I am again... lol... sorry...

Dormaker took a step backwards as the mask let out a deafening scream, and he grabbed at the sides of the thing, trying to tear it off again. ~If I can keep this fleshling in control long enough... perhaps... we can both go to the necromancer... and he can serve the master as we bid...~ There was something sinister in the scream, and groans could be heard beneath the ground, as if the dead were waking. ~Wait for tomorrow's nightfall, I will have a plan then.~ "Well, you certainly don't want thi9s mask." John piped up, trying to stay astride of his friends. "I am not sure... all I know is that... it can only be removed by this supposedly sinless man... it's hopeless."
