I kept her going for sometime but I was growing tired and if I was then I bet she was too. I turned her around to face me again. "I think we should set up camp somewhere . . .see anything?"

Melody trudged up the hill as the sun started to set behind them. She paused and turned to look at the sunset and smiled. It was beautiful as it stained the clouds around them. The rain was coming back for the night.

I could smell the rain coming. It was another shower, we needed to get to the shelter a little faster so I gave a little more of a push.

Melody squealed and fell. Her ankle had twisted in some loose dirt and rocks. She had been walking slower for a reason. She held her ankle, grimacing.

I felt her drop but couldn't have stopped her if I had tried. I placed my hands on her arm and saw she was clutching something. I ran my fingers down her arms and saw it was her ankle. She must have twisted it. I stood and and picked her up in my arms and made sure she saw my lips. "Which way do I need to go?"

Melody squealed, not expecting on being picked up. She wrapped her arms around his neck and did her best not to wiggle too much. She did a few moments of math, unlatched an arm from around him and wrote 15 PACES on his chest.

Ok . . . about 16 then just to be sure. I took my first steps. But I fell easily when I then noticed it was up hill. This is gonna be a little bit harder than I thought. But I kept at it. 1 . . . .2 . . . .3 . . .4 . . .5 . . .6 . . . .7 . . .

Melody gently tapped his shoulder to the left, trying to tell him to move that way, so he wouldn't fall again. She had twisted in his arms weirdly so she could make sure that neither of them fell.
