Footsteps in the Night

"But...." I felt left in the dark... And not just a tiny white lie this seemed, but my whole body felt cold and alone..."Am I coming back?" My voice squeaked...

[Apollo]

I flew through the air hitting my walla abv=ove my bed and landed on it going straight into darkness. Upon waking the sun was rising again. I got up and ran to my father. . . my commander. My feet placed firm on the soil I got there fast.
I flung open the doors and told him of my expedition. "So some how He has escaped you? Bring her here. She is here right Captain?"
At this I told him of my spells temporary workings. "Sir if I may suggest talking to her for bits of time before bringing her here to prepare her? So if . . when He. . .shows his face. . .she'll know enough about this place to want to leave, making it easier? All I received was a nod. . .and I knew what I would do.

After he left, my brain shut off without my controll.
In the morning I was being saken. "Starr! Starr! Wake up!"
"Huh? What?" I groaned.
"You're late for school." Mom's voice stern.
"Really?" At that instant, I rushed around my room, gathering everything for school. I started my car. A Honda it was and it roared on command.
During classes, my mind was blotched with what happend the night before, still trying to seperate what was real and what I could have possibly made up myself. I ruled out every opition other than my mind doing the works.
School skipped by like girls on a playground. My parents went out like they do almost every night and won't be back untill very, very late.
Another night...alone....

[Apollo]

This time as I entered the room I was able to land on my feet quietly and know when I would leave so I could actually finish a sentence. "Still wanna know more?" I whispered in the girls ear as I sat on one of her chairs. This time I thought I would try to dress normally so I dressed as a normal teenage boy. . .not one of those called . . preps? . . slightly gothic I guess but just whites and blacks. . . a perfect mix.

"What the heck?!" My voice grew louder then needed. "You're real? You're really freaking real?!"
I looked him up then down. He's not what this outfit showed. His eyes glowed brighter than last night, his smile wide, showing those white teeth off.
A strand of hair fell out from my bun and infront of my face, blurring the vision in one eye. I tried moving it with the wind I blew from my mouth... It didn't work.

[Apollo]

I couldn't help but smile at her attempt so I moved it for her out of her eyes with a single finger. "So . . you like?" I twirled around so she could see my attempt of clothing for this world. A pure white shirt and black pants with black high tops and my hair straight down instead of combed. It felt weird having my hair like this . . but a good weird. "So . . .Did you wanna know more about me and where I'm from and such?"

I checked him out. Wrong to do, but I did. At every angle, he was perfect. A dream boy that was created out of pure perfection.
"Uh, well, what do you plan on doing here? You went from total soilder to a boy who.... well, is like me... Well, except for the whole "girl" part that is" My heart quicked when he moved my hair... I've never had a boy even look at me much less come near me... "And yeah, I want to know why you are stilll in my room, why you're dressed like that, why you planned on taking me through, through... through that thing you did last night, and really, what you want with me..."
I'm getting to overwhelmed and feeling too demanding of this boy who I just met last night other than my dreams...

"well for starters. . .your deams . . the ones of massacres and of liking them. . .are real." I sat back down, not wanting to tell her of this part but knowing she would ask. "They are memories are from a man. A man of vengeance, death, tricks and enjoying it. He slaughtered thousands trying to live up to a saying. "Kill one man, a murderer, kill hundreds, a soldier, kill them all. . . a god." I stopped for a bit but continued going through which question I should answer next."My commander from where I come from told me to protect you, I meant to take you back with me but kinda got pulled back before I was ready. He wants me to protect you from Him. That's my goal and I'll fulfill it even if it means staying here with you. . . thus the clothes."

"Well for another started, why is it me? A girl in a small town who doesn't really know the real world?" His explenation sounded as fake as he looked. It was almost an outrage to me. " Why do I need to come back to wherever you came from if this guy is in my dreams. And you must be out of knowledge about this place, because you don't wanna go into public like that when you don't really have the look for it," I admitt, that was uncalled for...

[Apollo]

"No one knows why they are picked. . .You should be scared. What I've heard is after He is in their dreams. . . He does what I did. . . He jumps out when you wake up. . .the plague? Him. . .Twin towers? Him. . . World war one and two?. . .yeah . . .Him." I looked down . . remembering what she had said before. "What look? Do I look bad or something?"
