Pointy things are good for panic attacks.
Ask any asthmatic.
Brandon barely caught the snatches audible from above, so wretched were his own wheezes. He gazed awkwardly at his surroundings, eyes wide. What in the love of costumed vigilantes was this place?
There was something admittedly familiar to it. Something the grain of this little universe that triggered the sensors in his brain; old territory. He knew this place.
How?
He could remember no larping experience that would have brought him here, no movie scenes, no comic-book backgrounds.
What was it?

She yelled, he flinched and after a while the daughter walked into the room. "Hey. . .there she is. .. my little girl. . ." Tanis got donw low and his girl walked into his arms. "How is my little girl. . ."
"Happy. . .Where were you?" She said quietly.
"I. . .I was. . .well I found some one in the woods, he some how got past me and into my our fief."
"Past you?" She gasped and he laughed.
"Wanna see him?"
"Tanis. . ."
"Don't worry I'll be right there with. . .you know how good she is with judging character." His wife nodded and Tanis and his little girl went to the stairs.
"Hey. . .You still breathing?"
"Daddy that not nice."
"Sorry" Tanis said. "Go on. . .go take a look." So she walked right up to him and did just that.

ooc: Hey Apollo! What are you doing on at 9:00 on a schoolday? Sick? Hookie?
bic:
Finally. Someone shorter than him, at least. Nonetheless, Brandon staggered back a step or two, unnerved by the girl's act of simply looking. "Hey." Again, he tried his luck with the armed colossus. "Look sir, I don't know what it is I stumbled in on..." His breath drew short again as he resumed the wheezing from before. "But I..." The boy puffed from his inhaler, chest heaving. "I... I just want to go home, sir. I'm sorry if I've interrupted your D&D reenactment or something, but as you can clearly see --" he lifted both hands, cementing the fact that he wasn't wearing garments remotely resembling the costumes of the people around him, "-- I'm not involved with this game. I'm sure the other team can confirm that, if you just summon one of their representatives over." He dropped his hands, attempting a smile.
"I have to say, though," a soft index finger pushed the bridge of his glasses further up his nose. "--This is a superb structure you've erected here, comrade."

OOC: found a way through the blockers.
BIC:
"My father built this for my mommy." The little girl said. She took the thing in the boy's hands looking at it before touching his forehead and closing her eyes, using the skill she had. Opening her eyes she ran back to her dad's arms after returning the device. "I like he daddy, he funny, he gonna be here long?"
"I don't know sweetheart. . .I don't know" he said to her.

ooc: That conjures images of you sitting under the computers and screwing around with the wires.
bic: Brandon was clearly unnerved by the child's attention, rolling his eyes as he stepped back, shaking the experience off. The boy was growing more and more hopeless in the situation. "Look. Comrades. I just want to go home. My mother'll be wondering where I've gone to. I had a dental appointmant at 2:00. You must understand.

Tanis had no idea what the boy was saying. He gave him a bedroll, this being the only room that would make a good sleeping quarter. "Guess you are stuck down here boy. Don't worry, not a bad place to sleep." He said to him. Now what to do with him. . .

Brandon gazed in confusion at said bedroll, his brow arching over the rim of his glasses. "Um... I think there's been some err in comunication, friend. I can't sleep here tonight. I need to be getting back home. My mother's a dreadful nag." He looked up at the gentleman, his heart sinking. Evidently, he was sharing breathing room with a psycho. The man clearly took his roleplaying a tad too seriously.
