Alone in the Dark

[Apollo]

I nodded. "Sounds like a plan." I got up like I had before, head swimming from a small amount of pain, and grabbed my sweatshirt. I stopped in my tracks, hand in the middle of my sleeve. "Where do we start?"
"Let's look at the patient charts and who is the most unstable." Max stated.
"Really wish you'd jus' be a doctor." I muttered. You're smarter than you think.

[Oblivion]

"Good idea." I nodded. "Should we split up for this?"

[Apollo]

I looked towards Max, I may be more of a leader but this had been his idea. He opened his mouth and thought, he sat up and nodded as he had his feet hit the floor. "Y-y-yeah I think so." He stammered out.
"I'm guessing there are certain problems we should look for?" I asked.
He started to bite his thumbs and I watched him think. "Multiple personality disorders have always been a problem, ummm. . . there is another disorder I don't remember but it deals with people not having a consience, they actually think Hitler had it too." He said. I watched him lace up his shoes, untie one and fix it.
"Alright, I'll start around the medical wing and try the buidling south of here, what do you want Max?" I said.
"I'll take the caretakers, someone might have snapped, then take west from there." I turned towards the mn who had come with us, I sawMax do the same we waited. "That leaves the last to you."

[Oblivion]

"I'll look around the bottom floors for anyone strange that comes in or maybe one of the more everyman types."

[Apollo]

Max and I nodded at each other and went our separate ways.
I walked down the hall and checked in every door I could find. At one point I found a closet. Looking in, I found a labcoat, putting it on I went into each room to check on the patients. They seemed to notice me as a fly on the wall, stares and no words. Creppy. . .

[Oblivion]

I looked around feeling very much like the elephant in the room. Always there but rarely noticed. The fragrance of food that I'd desired simply wasn't present when I walked through the cafeteria and the gift store. And picking a strange person out from the crowd around me was no simple task, given the location. It felt surreal, like a terrible land populated by husks, where time stood still until Stephen King's Langoliers caught up to it and ate it in its entirety.

[Apollo]

At one point I had a patient grab my arm and tell me about his wife and kids. . . on another planet. Another wanted to know if I was free that night, the old man winked and bumped my chest with his elbow. . .
I sighed and went to look at another patient, he was in AMHI for attempted suicide and a lover of fire. Could be it, I thought to myself. When I went to step into the room I watched something flicker to the entrance of the staircase.
"That is never a good sign" I sighed and decided to follow it against my better judgement (which of course screamed hell no)

[Oblivion]

I noticed how neurotic one particular nurse was. She couldn't get a needle in a vein, and was on the verge of a breakdown, one of the doctors kept yelling at her. It didn't seem unlikely that she could be a source of commotion.

[Apollo]

I didn't need to run after this figure it seemed, they kept to the shadows and slowly made their way up the stairs. As they took a turn I'd quietly rush to where it had been moments before, I would look around the corner and watch it slowly go up again. As I came to the third floor, the last of the patient housing, I wondered which patient it was.
As it went up into the attic I thought to myself. I don't think that's a patient. . .
