The Time Has Come..

[Addison]

The citizens of Paradigm all stood heads raised as they looked at the large monitor in the middle of the town square. Men, woman and children all reported when the alarm sounded.

On the screen was a blurred face of a woman, a woman the citizens of Pardigm had come too accustomed to seeing. Surrounding them and through out the crowd were several large Bots, all highly equipped to eliminate any that spoke out.

On a roof top above knelt Addison. Her long reddish blonde hair blew in the wind as she looked down at the pity of a town. She wore black dress pants with a light pink flowy blouse who's neckline broke the boundaries of discreet.

Veronica was giving her normal speech of loyalty and honor being key in making the world a home for Bots and humans in peace.

She looked a top several roof tops to see the normal hideouts of the mercenaries and hackers who made their homes out of reach of Veronica; all shaking their heads in disgust at what Paradigm had become.

[DungeonMaster]

On a far rooftop, she would see an unfamiliar face, stark white in the rising streetlight. His eyes were focused intently on her, and he twitched slightly, motioning discreetly towards the roof beside him. It was standard silent speak, having become neccesary to avoid notice by the bots. He knelt down, and pulled a light out of his pocket, blinking it at her. He was obviously trying to get her attention.

[Alexi]

Alexi stood facing the crowd. Her Enforcer garb, hiding her identity while also revealing that she was one of the humans working for Veronica. Her eyes scanned searching for the slightest hint of a rebel outbreak.
Addy report?
The voice that sounded in her mind was feminine.
A: Human life signs appear to be calm. Nothing to signal agitation. Bots are working at top efficiency. Scanning radio frequencies now.......Nothing. All is clear Alexandra.
Alexi noted the AI's report while continuing to scan. The rebels would do something. She had a feeling.

[Addison]

Addison's gaze fell to the light flashing

~Doesn't he know the Bots might see it....~

Then she turned to find one of her contacts behind her...they had planned a minor attack on the Bots.

A small group of hackers climbed up the roof behind her.

"Another virus...or just a complete meltdown this time?"
H: "Oh we wer thinking a complete meltdown."

She smiled and turned within a few moments one of the Bots began swaying and fell hard to the ground...another followed.

They smiled as they looekd down at their work.

[Alexi]

A:Unauthorized breech. Unauthorized breech. Bots have been comprised.
Addy's voice immediately set Alexi into action. She was already calling for reinforcements through her headpiece.
"We have a Level 1 alert. Trying to contain. Repeat we have a Level 1 alert. Bots are not responding to commands. They are dropping left and right. Suspect Rebel activity."
Addy stop it. They'll cause a riot. People will die.
A:Blocking transmitting signal. Unable to comply. No signal found.
Virus?
A:"Scanning for possible virusal contamination."
Seconds ticked by precious seconds Alexi didn't have. The rebels would have to be close. She spotted the movement of the flashlight. There. Immediately she began to move. With years of training she went through the crowd. She headed in the opposite direction letting them think she was running from what would become a riot. Damn them for sending only one Enforcer and a bunch of bots. She disappeared into an alley and began scaling a building. The buildings were close in this sector. She'd be there in seconds and with her black suit they wouldn't see her coming.
Addy is it a virus can you contain it?
She'd need Addy. The AI fed her information. She'd know numbers, positions, everything she needed to take them down and take them down quick. Though the AI preform both the scan of the bots and the scan Alexi needed with ease Alexi still didn't like her focused on more than one thing. For her Addy was almost human.

[Addison]

Addison saw as the crowd began to riot. Some ran away to their homes such as the woman and children, others including many uneducated teenage boys started attacking the bots that had fallen making sure they didn't get up.

The hackers and fugitives on the roof tops scaled down the opposite sides of the buildings that did not face the town square. Making sure they made their exit.

Addison tried to signal to the man with the flashlight but knew that with her prominent position in the town she needed to not be seen where she did not belong.

For a moment she caught a glimpse of a face, that reminded her of herself.

Opening a fire door on the rooftop she began to run down the flights of stairs. Making an exit into the streets and making her way to her car....

[DungeonMaster]

When the virus went into the bots and Addison turned around, the man was on her roof, having jumped across nearly silently. he made his way across the roof quickly, picking a place amongst the group. "There is strength in numbers, and I have no other people I have seen in this city. I have only been functional for about a day." he said, his voice sounding nearly artificial.

[Alexi]

A: Negative. Bots are being shut down manually.
Override.
A: Override complete.
The casualties to the bots were minimal. What was left would easily subdue the crowd that was obvious. They'd only lost a handful suprisingly. Beneath her helmet Alexi saw them leaving the rooftop. Think god for night vision.
Addy enhance speed to 3x.
A: Activating nanos. Speed increase 2x....3x.
She felt power flood through her body and she was soon running faster than most humans. She leapt the building easily not even slowing in her pursuit. She was gaining on the rebels and wasn't even bothering to hide it anymore. The black suit blended her in making her a shadow, but shadows didn't move like that.
Identify possible leader.
A; Unable to comply. Not enough information.

[Addison]

Addison got into her car realizing she had ignored the man on the roof. He would only have gotten her caught and that was the last thing she needed.

The group on the roof turned and saw the man replying...
"You should get out of here there isn't time."

The last of the group bungeed down and began to scatter mixing with the crowd.

Addison looked down at her blackberry realizing her secretary had been messaging her to get to the office immediatly. She started her car and began to head North where the law office was.

Veronica's voice echoed down through the grates in the street, bounced around the patrols circuiting the modern sewer systems, and found its way through rat holes and ladder shafts to the old sewer. The soft, feminine sound, programmed to be at once soothing and commanding, was distorted and amplified in its journey through the tunnels. By the time it reached Vangelis's ears, it was revealed as just another programmed mockery.

Vangelis shifted. Milky white eyes darted about, spiting the oily blackness of the tunnel with their motion. Small avalanches of dust rolled down the mountain of rags atop the man as a thin, pale white arm slowly crept out of the heap. The arm swayed back and forth, rhythmically, the hand atop it bent at an angle to the rest of the limb. Fingertips clustered around the thumb, roving back and forth, scanning the tunnel as uselessly as the eyes had.

The slightest of scratches. Rapid, minute intakes of air. Whiskers brushing concrete.

The arm leapt out, and a shrill squeaking followed suit. Vangelis smiled. The walls were thankful no light shone upon his teeth. Breakfast had been easy today. Sometimes it took hours to find a rodent that plump. Once the unfortunate creature had gone cold, Vangelis bit off the tail and secreted the body somewhere in his many rags. Rising, he sneezed as he was enveloped by a cloud of dust and stink. It couldn't have been that long since he'd moved last? Ah, well. There was a commotion up above, and from the sound of it, people would soon be fleeing and hiding from the wrath of the enforcers. And they would need a place to hide.

One hand on the tunnel wall, tail bobbing out of the corner of his mouth as he chewed, Vangelis made his way South.
