The Enforcer replied to her hostility almost immediatly,
E:"We have been given orders to search the premises. A former client has claimed that you acquired the evidence against him by unnatural and illegal means. Thsi means, how exactly did you get the information against Mr.Colon?"
Addison knew that the evidence she had gathered was gained by her activities once the sun went down, however they would see no evidence of that here. Furthermore, how Mr.Colon knew anything was beyond her. He himself was a smuggler throughout Paradigm. He was making a new drug that resulted in the death of many Enforcers. The drug was still on the market, however, with its originator behind bars it was believed the activity would die down. Now Addison knew that Mr.Colon needed to be killed if he knew something about her activities at night.
"I don't know what you are speaking of, concerning illegal means. Of course I gathered material outside of this office through connections and spies on the outside. There is nothing illegal about that; that is how I bring to justice those who mutiny against Veronica; and the government knows that my contacts are to remain confidential and top secret. I am bound by law to notify you only when necessary. I wish to speak to a superior, at this rate I can have all of you you in court for breaking the law."
This was a scary way to go about the situation. Challenging an Enforcer who has been given direct orders was never a wise way to handle things, however, this is what Addison the lawyer would do, she wouldn't back down or be scared off. But in the end Mr.Colon would have to be spoken to and if necessary...killed.
