Default Ranks / Levels / Stengths

Ranks

Each character will start out at Rank: 1 (Null), Level 1 Essentuialy this rank has the abilities of your average joe human.

There will eventualy be 10 ranks with 10 levels each. The existing ranks are as fallows.

#: Rank Name

1: Null
2: Master

3: Awakened
4: Adept

5: Sage
6: Savant

7: (????
8: ?Ascended?)

9: Demigod
10: God

Each progressinve rank has effectivly twice the strengths and 4 times the energy pool of the previous rank.

Durring all odd numbered ranks you will gain a new element or skill set or have the option to take a specialization or devotion course. (To be added later) You will also be learning new skills or powers during these ranks. During even numbered ranks you will instead be matering skills and powers and be given the opportunity to improve them.

In order to rank up you must be have enough experience to level up from level 10 of your current rank, and you must have participated in atleast one forum event thread.

Default Levels.

Levels

There are ten levels to a rank.
In each level your abilities could be considered to be reletively 1.X that of the first level of the rank. Where X = your level in the rank-1

So a person with Rank 2 level 4 has the ailities about 1.3 times better than someone of Rank 2 level 1.

Your energy pool increases three as fast so X = (Your level in the rank -1)*3

For that same person at Rank 2 Level 4 they would have a pool with 1.9 times the points of Rank 2 level 1.

Experience:

To level up it will require 20+(your current level)*5

XP will be calculated as
(end post number- start post number)/# of poster*(lvl mod)*(fight mod)*(challenge or bonus mod)*(post length mod)+flat bonus

lvl mod = a modifier based on your level relative to the highest leveled character in the thread

fight mod = a modifier based on your level relative to whoever you are fighting. (not sure yet if I'll make this down grade so higher level fighters get less out of fighting weaker ones)

challange mod = modifies XP for bonuses usually based on how hard it is for the character to do. May be used to reward good role play or good stories. Not sure yet since then it would be biased based on my tastes for a good story.

post length mod= so far it penalizes for real short posts. A good post should trye to be about 2 short paragraphs. Or one long paragraph.
Two sentences to a short single paragraph 75 or 50% XP maybe.
Constant one liners would receive only 10 or 25% XP
The occational shorter post is ok, this is made on the overall post length.

Flat bonus = a bonus for a specific accomplishment or deed.

Default

Strengths and Weaknesses

Basic Strengths and Weaknesses
Average, Above Average, Good, Very Good, Excellent, Rank +1(Average)
Average, Below Average, Bad, Very Bad, Horrible, Rank -1(Average)
(These are tacked on to an attribute. Ex: Good Strength)
(When making races, think of Average as your average Joe human. While Rank +1 is about equivalent to an human with Olympic athlete standards.)

Between Ranks the Balance works like this.
Average (Rank x) = Rank -1 (Rank x+1)
Above Average (Rank x) = Horrible (Rank x+1)
Good (Rank x) = Very Bad (Rank x+1)
Very Good (Rank x) = Bad (Rank x+1)
Excellent (Rank x) = Below Average (Rank x+1)
Rank +1 (Rank x) = Average (Rank x+1)

Another way to look at this is each level of a strength adds a little over two levels to your ability while a weakness takes off a little over two levels from your ability.

Elemental resistances/weaknesses:
Immune = Excellent
Half damage = Good
X2 damage = Bad
X4 damage = Horrible
Stops any enhanced healing = Bad
Stops any enhanced healing x2 damage = Horrible

Racial powers/ extra powers
You do not have to place the ability to gain racial powers in Strengths this is build into the powers/skills app through the requirements portion. (ex: Req: User of the Fuzzywumpkins race.) However ability to gain additional powers then those of your level will take extreme costs. (+4 for weak powers)

Anything else we'll have to work out.
