ooc. Yeah, that's what I thought. It is true they have a small handguard that encircles the base of the hilt, but crossguard *was* the wrong teminology. *Gau looked at the fire coming towards him, crouching down low to the ground before shooting up in a powerful leap, swords both drawn in front of him. he sailed up and over the fire wall, the only damage he sustained being the slight singing of his yukata bottom. He landed gracefully in another crouch, pushing himself off and speeding towards Gulrandir. He stopped about twoinches awy from his face and leaned back, dropping his swords down low and swinging at gul with a powerful headbutt. He jumped a step back and brought his sword up in a cross-slash sort of thing*

*Gau jumped back, narrowly avoiding the downwards cut, the front of his body melting into a shadow briefly to allow the sword to slip through him. He smirked and looked over to nakila and Cain*
"It seems I have spectators..."
*He turned back to Gul, smiling broadly*
"Well, sorry, Gul my boy. But I have a reputation to uphold and fans to please."
*He smirked wryly at the words 'fans'*
"So maybe we can end this quick. Go ahead, have a free shot. i'd feel bad finishing you off so quickly."
