Next Threat - Dark Past: Deval's Father Returns

[Maliki]

Deval was now a good three miles from the Castle, He could only feel the dark presence getting closer. Closer still as the Knight surged deeper into the forest. It had been almost fifteen minutes since he'ld left the group behind and he'ld been carrying a steady pace. It was only a matter of miliseconds before his pace increased. He now seemed to fly through the forest before his staff was drawn, sparks flew in all directions as steel met steel...

[Tarsha]

Serena was tiring. There had been extensive damage and it was taking everything she had to heal the bodily wounds. Yet her body tired more easily these days. Despite the fatigue she pushed it aside and kept working. That alone was dangerous. She could burn herself out and end up killing herself to save Lilith.

Faith too was tiring. The heart had been her focus while Serena repaired the damage to other organs. But Faith worried that all their work and the risk of themselves was for naught if Lilith didn't want to live. They could wear themselves out repairing the body, but they couldn't heal the soul.

[Lilith]

Lilith fought Maliki's hold on her soul. She was stubborn perhaps too stubborn. It would not be easy to force her to live.

[Maliki]

Ryone stepped forwards and placed his hands on both Serena and Faiths shoulder, "Accept my power." With that his energy began to flow from his hands, helping to revitalize the struggling womens efforts.

Maliki's persuasion was no less carring then before. He knew what he was getting himself into. They would be apart of eachother. As Ryone was to him, And Veleius. She would be his family, he knew the consiquences and cared not for that was who he was.. he was ment for others to exist.

Deval was off the rod and quickly off a tree, taking a stride before striking into the darkness once again. Steel met steel before three throwing knives shot past his head, one of them slicing his cheek, he countered with his razor lined cards, The dull thud signifying that they hit naught but wood. The two Death Seekers clashed in the darkness, each waiting for the other to be revealed.

[Tarsha]

Faith reached up and interlaced her free hand with Ryone's.
~Thank you.~
Her voice was weak in his mind and distracted. If they didn't finish and soon they'd both burn out.

Serena was distracted with thoughts of Deval and even though she took Ryone's magic she couldn't take too much without her own magics clashing with it.

[Lilith]

~Family.....~
She laughed. He realized she was becoming more a part of him than anyone had before. She read his thought easily like one would a book.
~I have no wish to be family. I do not need a father figure.~

[Maliki]

~And what would make me your father? You'ld have no need to heed my words. The only difference will really be that you can hear my call.~ Maliki laughed silently.

Deval took to the tree's and took refuge in the shadows. Listening....

???: "Whats the matter Deval? Having trouble keeping up? It figures."

Deval growled, "You've always been one to judge me haven't you father." He came from the tree's and sent a volley of cards off into the darkness. Three of them struck wood but the fourth made a direct hit.

The man growled as the card bit into his leg, "Lucky shot."

[Tarsha]

~Faith.....~
Serena's voice was weak.
~I can't give her anymore.~

~Try Serena. We're almost done. Hang in there.~

~Faith you don't understand. I can't risk it. I can't. You know there is only one way to repair all the damage before we both burn out.~

~Serena we both agreed all or nothing.~

Serena sighed. She thought of the risks. There was only one way that they might all survive. It might destroy her though. If it did Deval would never forgive her. Deval felt her brush his mind, her voice whispered faint and weak.
~Forgive me.~
Serena grabbed every last bit of power and strength, she siphoned all of Faith's and some more of Ryone's just enough to heal the vampire.

Faith's eyes flew open glowing white.
~SERENA DON'T!~

It was too late Serena threw all of it into healing the vampire. She wasn't meant to conduct such things, but she had been the more likely choice of Faith and herself. She was used to different powers inside her at one time. Faith had known this was their only option. A conduit to do an instant heal on the vampire would save them more weakening and possible death. But it was dangerous. For in doing what she did, it might save Lilith only to condem herself, and she had far more to lose than the vampire.

Faith was thrown back from Lilith's body as the pair began surrounded in white light. When the light died. Serena lay on the ground, unmoving. The cloak hiding her from view. Lilith's body was unmarred, completely healed.

[Lilith]

~I don't wish to.~
She suddenly lashed out at his hold on her. He was not suprised. He had known she was just bidding her time and strength.

[Maliki]

Maliki countered her assault with one of equal power before Veleius replaced her soul in her body. Ryone caught Faith as she was cast back from the vampires body, Maliki however still stood over Lilith, Veleius on the other hand was down by Serena, "C'mon, nows not the time for this."

Deval didn't have time to react to Serena's touch before he was slammed against a tree. He heard bones crack and lost conciousness.
