Return From Another Journey

*Jal shuffled into the building, he had not been in this place in years, these constant journeys were becoming a problem for the world he once knew had changed yet again. After scouring the room he chose a table in a dimly lit corner and plopped himself down. Jal's himself had also changed, instead of his highly ornamental robes he now wore a simple mage tunic and tattered traveling cloak. He was still pale and guant but was now completely bald. His most alarming new feature was the thick, black, oil-like substance that covered his bare feet and pooled up wherever he was stationary. Thankfully the trail he left while walking seemed to melt away after several seconds. For now the necromancer drummed his unkept fingernails on the table and drank in his surroundings...*

"Hmmm... you know... your feet seem to be . . .leaking."
The comment came from Joe, the barkeep and manager, who now stood a bit down the bar, leaning over it a bit.

"Oh its alright. Just makeing sure you knew. Its not something one sees everyday. In anycase, can I get you anything?"

Joe thought a moment.
"Well...there is a beef and lentil soup..oh and meso soup I supose... anything else would only take a few minutes for our cheif to prepare. You wouldn't believe how handy having a contained time distortion in the kitchen can be."

Time distortion, huh?
Temporal manipulation is really interesting, but it sort of frightens me...
The miso sounds like it would hit the spot, I'll have some of that if you don't mind.

Joe joted down a note on a small pad then pulled it out and crumpled it in his hand. The note vanished.
"I supose so, luckly our cook doesn't age like an average person...he's definatly not average..."
