Wanderings lead to more wanderings.

[Klip Fourwinds]

Klip walked into the bar. She had just returned from one of her many adventures and was waiting for the next one to start...if only she had someone to join her. In the meantime she figured she would enjoy a few drinks, meet some friends and perhaps make some new ones. She ordered a glass of wine and then took a seat in a corner booth waiting for the next adventure to fall into her lap.

well a companion was about to fall literally into her lap. a wolf pup had managed to get into the bar and was trying to sneak some food and drink. she got caught in the act by the bartender who grabbed her by the scruff of her neck as she struggled to escape. she barked and tried bite the person with little success her silver eyes glowing with annoyance at the person. the bartender threw her across the distance making her fall into Klip's lap. she yelped as she landed on her back looking up at the woman. Syndil was just a little disoriented now.

"Well hello you...You seem harmless enough." Klip said to her new found companion. "How about we get you a little somthing to eat and then what do you think of going out on an adventure?" She asked. She turned to the bartender and assured him that she would keep the pup out of trouble until they left the bar. For as she had said, she seemed harmless enough.

The pup put its ears back looking up at her and barked happily hearing food and drink. she rolled over so she was lying correctly in her lap. she nuzzled the woman wagging her tail and sat there looking up at her. she spoke telepathically to her, "Thank you! i've not had food in awhile and i'm quite thirsty. my name's Syndil. i'm a shape shifter and trust me....i'm not always so harmless." Syndil whimpered in her gray and white wolf pup form as she waited for the food and drink. she was definitely thankful for landing in a lap and not on the floor or something.

Klip waited quietly while the bartender brough her some food. It wasn't much, just a meager meal of bread, a few vegetables and a small slice of meat. She carefully cut off a chunk of the meat and fed it to the pup. "There you go." She was eager to learn more about this pup, "A shapeshifter huh?" she thought. She worked her way though her meal, sneaking bits of bread to Syndil. When they were done she tooked at the pup again. "Well are you ready to get going?" She asked. She set the pup on the ground and then tossed a few coins on the table to cover her food and drink.

Syndil anxiously chowed down on the meat that Klip gave her and yipped happily. she ate each small bit that the woman gave her with much pleasure. "Yup...i'm a shapeshifter!" when she was put down on the floor she nodded being ready to go. she trotted off happily giving a kind of scoffing bark to the bartender looking at the person. "Let me guess...you're curious? as to my being a shape shifter?"

"yes and no. I've met my share of shapeshifters, but it has been quite some time. I thought they may have been gone all together." She walked out the door after Syndil. "Well. Where should we go from here. I'll let you lead."

Syndil smiled in a wolf pup way changed into her human form standing 5'7" with light brown hair close to chin length. she was trying for a slightly different outfit by wearing a tightish t-shirt and some shorts. she weighed about 130 pounds by the looks of her. she smiled at Klip. "There we go...much better, for now at least. i'm most likely to spend my time on my wolf form not in human but for the sake of less mental chat i'll do this. now why do you want me to lead the way? i never really travel in a particular direction just which ever way my nose leads me."

"I led on the last adventure that I went on. I'm looking to find someplace new." Klip relied. She looked over the human that now stood in front of her. "It sounds like you method of traveling would suit this need. I'm ready to be off of the beaten path."

Syndil chuckled and did the tilt head shoulder shrug in a way of saying true. "Off the beaten path is always my way...life's too boring when you travel the beaten path. then again my traveling has led to all the scars i have. heh alright. you got me this time." she sniffed the air still having sharp senses even in human form. she started walking off towards a forest that seemed to stretch on for awhile. "Been this way yet? i hope not....i smell some big game that's not very weak or stupid." smiled looking back at Klip.
