The Search

((OOC: For those that want a full breakdown on this character, check the Character sheet in New Haven......I didnt find anywhere to put a character sheet in here, plus, i'm not retyping it all. Yes, Yes, I'm lazy.))

*After running far and wide, from other creatures and people of authority who, for some reason took offense to her presence, Maya stops running and realizes there is a different feel in the air around her. The scent she was following faded away behind her. Stopping to listen to the sounds around her, she realizes that the guard who put up a good chase after her found that she was no longer in front of him, and had already begun retracing his steps back to the town she came from. Slowly she crept on, watching for any signs of other people. When none came, she started to get suspicious.

Jedda Falconne watched as the faintly elven lady wandered out of the mists seperating the worlds. She was apparently creeping away from something, but Jedda certainly couldn't see what. She would see him immediately, a fine looking handsomly dressed deep blue skinned elf if ever there was one. His hat was quite frankly the dashingest hat ever made. He was leaning against the wall outside the Troll Spit Bar and Grill's door, a door that could be pretty much anywhere. He'd stepped outside to nowhere in particular just to practice leaning against a wall with his hat tilted down while still being aware of his surroundings. A very important skill. While maintaining what he decided was a casual tone of voice he made a small wave to the "creep-out-of-the-mist" lady.

"Hi"

*Maya hadn't noticed the blue elf watching her. She swung around, hand on a waist blade, ready to draw at a second's notice.*

"Hi. Who are you, and where am I?"

*She suddenly notices the building she was about to walk into*
"And what is this building?"

[Larrin]

"Well, m'lady, I am the Magnificent Jedda Falconne," He replies with no modesty whatsoever and an exageratedly polite flourishing bow. "This place is some sort of Tavern, as near as i can gather, seems to cater to lost and desperate souls. It has a very strong 'Magical bar thats everywhere' motif going on. Quaint really, but they do a nice 'Mythology on the beach' so its worth the time to check it out. Who might you be?"

*Pulling the hood of her cloak down, as she seems to be relatively safe, she considers him, deciding what name to give him.*

"Well....My full name is Amayathyst Kieara Shayla......However, you may call me Amaya. You seem a bit pretentious to be calling yourself 'Magnificent'; What manner of deeds allow you to title yourself in such a fashion?"

[Larrin]

"Why my very nature of magnificence allows me the title, Mistress Amaya. Deeds will come to me in time, i'm sure. Even the magnificent need to start somewhere. Though I am quite magnificent at sailing ships, crashing ships, bargaining with gnolls, escaping incredibly horrible underground caves and finding the most dashing hat every crafted by elfkind" He runs a hand along the rim of his hat appreciatively. He has a self-mocking smile that lets her know that while he is certainly pretentious, he knows it full well and has no problem being called on it. He really has no shame.
"And what deeds might you have committed to have you creeping through the boundaries between worlds in such a furtive manner?"

*Maya laughs, knowing she's going to get nowhere by pointing out that while the magnificent do indeed have to start somewhere, it's not by calling themselves magnificent.*

"I honestly don't know why that guard was chasing me. All I was doing was getting something to eat.....and then the guards started yelling and trying to shoot me with their mediocre arrows."

*She reaches under her cloak and pats her hidden bow appreciatively and lovingly. She also has a look that says she knows EXACTLY why the guards were chasing her, but she's gonna make Jedda ask if he really wants to know*

"I just kinda lost track of where I was running and stepped into this world. I dont know why the guard stopped following me though."

[Larrin]

"Guardsmen following someone through a world's border? I'm pretty sure thats impossible. They just mill around in the empty alley and say 'She was here a second ago, what will we tell the captain?'. 'We won't tell him nothing' says the other and they go off and do guardy things. The furthest they ever get is lost in the mists and eaten by something shadowy. Guardsman are the most mundane creatures in the universe, they can't handle interplanar travel. If you were chased by demon hounds or something more magic-savy, then theres a chance they'd follow you. Well if you're not too full from trying to eat someone's leg (why else would they chase her ) there's food inside, i think" He opens the door to the Bar for her and gestures that ladies should go first.

"Actually, it wasn't someones leg I was trying to eat. And I didn't really succeed at nabbing something either."

*Walks through the door and looks around, leaving enough room for Jedda to enter behind her*

"Thank you."

[Larrin]

"You are most welcome. Please let me buy you some food, and we can discuss the woes that life has thrust upon us." He points out a small table where they can sit and flags down someone to take their orders.
