Susan Boyle's Epic Debut

It's been awhile since I've come across a video worth posting.

I don't cry easily, but the following video made me tear up.

I'd like to introduce you to Susan Boyle, the 47-year-old lady from a village in Britain who blew a cynical crowd away.

I'm not going to lie. That just completely blew me away. I was seriously expecting them to make fun of her, but then I heard her start to sing and I couldn't believe it. It just goes to show you that you can't judge a book by it's cover. This is a lesson we all forget sometimes. She certainly reminded them of that.

I... watched the video, and I'm going to be honest, when she said nobody'd ever kissed her, I laughed, and then she threw out the names and I busted a gut, but when she started singing, I shut my mouth. I closed my eyes and I heard her voice and I just thought, "I'd kill to have a voice that beautiful." and I must admit. I cried. That was... shocking, amazing, and without a doubt, one of the best songs I've ever seen performed.

More than that, I'd kill (maybe not KILL, but "negotiate strenuously", as they say on Muppet Treasure Island ^_^) to have her GUTS. I mean, she probably knew the crowd wasn't going to immediately accept her, but she had the guts to sing her heart out anyway. I admire that so much.

Susan Boyle is, without a doubt, one of my heroes.
