Gramma Modor's Storytime
It has come to our attention that some of you are not really understanding what this forum is for. Basically it's to share your stories with us. Sometimes we have people who start a line and someone adds another then someone else adds one. But what it's being used for lately is role playing. That was never the intention of this forum.
Larien is going to create a forum graveyard for the old stories in there. We're going to mass move threads into there. If you're doing an rpg there please pm her and tell her. She will move it to a forum of your choice or she will move it to TSBG's subforum "The Other Worlds." What we will not do is keep an rpg there b/c you want to continue it. If you want to continue it request that it be moved. We're going to give you plenty of time to do this. Larien is going to do the move a week from now. Get in touch with her by then. Thanks.

So, wait...by "role-playing" do you mean all threads that include more than one author? Or are threads with just two authors OK?

I haven't looked to deeply at the subject but if things have continued as I remember them gtom not too long ago, they are right people have been role playing in Grandma M's
There is a key thing you can look for in telling if somthing is role play or an ongoing story with multiple authors.
Story: The story fallows a character or set of characters under the control of ALL authors.
((Currently looking for an example of this I know we've had it before but it may have been lost during a site move or purge.))
Roleplay: Each "author" or player is in control of a set of a set of characters they control in the story. This set of characters is either never or seldom ever controlded by other players. ((By the Roleplay veiw point those seldom controled by other players, but still controled by more then one become NPCs))
An example of roleplay in the GMS forum could be seen here: A Mind-Reader's Guide To Socialization
Note the characteristic single role per person.
----------------------------------------------------------
Disclaimer: This announcement and the move is not to be taken as the Administrators saying your role play is not a story, but that it is in fact role play (which often writes in a story-like fashion) and this forum was not intended for this use.

So, our stories aren't stories.
Sorry.

Not pure story no, they are roleplay with story elements. ((Most roleplay does have story elements so I can see your reasoning)
Personaly I don't blame you I would blame those who set a bad example before you. I will not however name names.
*cough* Caer! *cough*
Excuse me...
*cough* Meline! *cough* *hack*
Hmmmm I think I better get checked I may be coming down with something.

Mm'kay, understood.
The question now is this: can we still post in the RPG's in Gramma's thread until the threads are moved? (Please? ^_^)

New threads of this nature should go to 'The Other Worlds' subforum in Troll Spit, but if you mean continue posting in the threads current threads, yes that should be fine.
